Years ago, whenever my Nan got her ar$e in her hand about something, she'd threaten to change her will and leave everything to the district nurse.

So I put Nippon in her custard.   

IT DIDN'T ACTUALLY KILL HER. It just made me feel better. And one morning she woke up with a lovely set of antennae.

My wife and I have always been proud and independent so getting the power of attorney for her just couldn't bring myself to do it, to take her human rights away from her, when I know I would do everything possible to take care of her.

But of course it has cost me a great deal of money and rising, sadly both my parents were mentally affected by our problems and sadly have passed away worrying about us, but it should have been us worrying about them, but I was in no position to do so, but I did inform them to divide their estate between my son's so no further complications can arise in the future going by how mad this whole case have been.

But I have decided to try to obtain the power of attorney, pleading with any caring solicitor to help me accomplish this, I cannot take my wife to any solicitors office because she won't be able to stand the duration that it would take, and would probably need a lot of help trying to find the required needs to accomplish this.

If your wife has dementia it might be too late for her to sign a Power of Attorney Colin.  It all depends on her remaining cognisant abilities.  I suggest you talk to her GP and have him test her.

I will caution you however that having POA over your wife's affairs means very little in this country any more as the State can veto it.  It is quite ironic that on Remembrance Sunday the question could be asked what did our forefathers really fight for ?

Thanks John for the feedback, I have noticed that you have your fair share of problems is it still ongoing?
I have been trying to get help from different websites but some of them just happen to be a nightmare as if you're dealing with people who do not understand the meaning of empathy, it just goes to show why the world today is so full with corruption….  http://www.urban75.net/forums/threads/official-solicitor.316770/

WOW John, all that time in prison a nightmare, it just makes you sick, and I would certainly recommend people to follow your case through. It is wonderful to know that your brother and all your family are on your side. (The main appeal continues before the Supreme Court in Scotland.)

I do hope they will come to their senses and compensate you for your horrific experiences. What a nightmare's, I would not hold my breath waiting for the Justice.

Thank you Colin.  There is more than one way to skin a cat.  As I do not live in Scotland I may be able to sue the Scottish Justice Secretary for malicious prosecution in another jurisdiction.  That way they won't be able to influence the outcome in the way they can in Scotland.
