I would rather be seen as arrogant than as base spirited as some have been on this thread.

In fairness, he does have a track record of providing 'spin' and / or 'crisis management' for some odious / dubious characters: Matthew Freud (son of Clement 'One bark for yes, two barks for no', the proven nonce), Iraqi Prime Minister, Costa (of Concordia infamy - 32 killed when cruise liner ran aground), Cambridge Analytica (no further comment required), the disgraced government of Iceland (country, not supermarket), post the financial meltdown, Lloyds, post financial meltdown.
So one may form an opinion of a man who specialises in damage control for morally bankrupt entities, who now wants to run with foxes and the hounds
and work for constituents as an MP? A career path back to the inner sanctum of a lofty cabinet position?
He might be very good at what he does and is very effective, but one wouldn't admire the work of an assassin for the same reasons.
