The Archiving Report...proof of innocence...

The Archiving Reports at Section E states the following...

"We believe that the main damage was caused to the McCann arguidos, who lost the possibility to prove what they have protested since they were constituted arguidos: their innocence towards the fateful event; the investigation was also disturbed, because said facts remain unclarified."

the AG final report never criticised the Mccanns for failing to prove their innocence..it was just a  translation error

Someone should tell the McCanns to publish the files that they paid a hundred grand to have translated   accurately then

Is there another translation available on the internet for us to see then? Could you point me in the direction please?

Cariad.

Yet again.

How can they be 'innocent' of something they haven't been charged with ?

There's the bottom line, insufficient evidence.

I didn't say the  'McCann files'    ...  I said the McCanns    (  you know ...  Kate and Gerry  )

If there is a problem being caused by  'mistranslations'  online then they can rectify it by publishishing their   own accurate   translation  ...  the one they spent a hundred grand of publicly donated money to get done

They could have included it in their book too. Just a thought ?{)(**

Ok, if you don't trust the translation, you may do it yourself from the original:

«Temos para nós que os principais prejudicados foram os arguidos McCann, que perderam a possibilidade de comprovarem aquilo que desde a sua constituição como arguidos têm protestado: a sua inocência face ao fatídico acontecimento; também estorvada restou a investigação, porque tais factos ficaram por esclarecer.» (p. 4638, lines 11-14)

Portuguese "prove" = taste
                                = prove (make proof of)

You have just shown how things can be confused in translation. The prove I am talking about is "to prove" as in "failed to prove their innocence"
