What the former PJ detectives had to say about Raymond Hewlett
« on: December 05, 2013, 10:23:28 AM »
The Portuguese police have already attracted much criticism from Gonçalo Amaral and Paulo Sargento for allowing the McCanns private investigators Metodo 3 to pursue Hewlett in his hospital bed when he has already been investigated and cleared.

The conduct of the British Press is yet again morally reprehensible.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Just asking... I haven't found anything to substantiate that he'd actually trafficked a child to Morocco.

However, what was the extent of the investigation into him that cleared him?

Well there was unidentified DNA and fingerprints in the flat.
Hewlett gave them the sample for DNA for testing= Neg
I think he also had an Alibi for the time etc, but not certain

It was interesting to read Mr.Verrans views on Hewlett.

He had the right MO, new the area well and probably knew many "underbelly" people. Hewlett may well have known more about who and where IMO.

Are you sure he was cleared?
