What Farage really thinks of his fellow members of Ukip
« on: December 10, 2016, 09:36:09 AM »
I always thought he was a two faced t###er who used Ukip for his own agenda. Seems I was right.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nigel Farage has said he is relieved to no longer be Ukip leader because it had meant “having to deal with low-grade people every day”, in an interview where he said his £85,000-a-year salary had left him “poor” compared with his City banker friends.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Farage said he now has global ambitions beyond the Eurosceptic party, including negotiating trade deals with the US president-elect, Donald Trump, and finding a solution to the Middle East conflict.

The MEP, who also hinted he will attempt to make his eighth bid for a seat in parliament despite seven unsuccessful runs, said he was happy to continue to be a public face while Ukip’s new leader, Paul Nuttall, ran the party.

“I am having a great time,” he said. “I am not having to deal with low-grade people every day. I am not responsible for what our branch secretary in Lower Slaughter said half-cut on Twitter last night – that isn’t my fault any more. I don’t have to go to eight-hour party executive meetings.

I am not responsible for what our branch secretary in Lower Slaughter said half-cut on Twitter last night
“I don’t have to spend my life dealing with people I would never have a drink with, who I would never employ and who use me as a vehicle for their own self-promotion. There are a lot of great people in Ukip. The problem is that Ukip has become a bit like the other parties: people view it as a means to get elected.”

I don't understand why you are surprised or find this in any way odd.  Farage is no different from the other trough wallowers, he has his own agenda and always did.  It is unfortunate that mainstream politics is dominated by these sort of people but that is the price we pay for our so-called democracy.  If Labour could produce a sensible leader then we would all be better off but as long as the pretend Socialists like the Corbyns and the Kinnocks of this world represent the official opposition, the toffs like Farage will prosper.

He is about to achieve what he set out to do and that is to get the UK out of the EU.

He seemed pretty sceptical about Brexit happening on the terms he wanted on Question Time on Thursday....

Based on performance to date, I don't see Boris, Trump or Farage being able to deal with anything more than their own gaffes.

Precisely.

They go from one idiotic statement/action to another.

Yet some believe in them, no matter what they do.

I wouldn't trust Farage to wrap a toffee, let alone become embroiled in the problems of the Middle East.

Apart from the McCann case, I suspect we have a lot of common ground Carana.

Well I would swap him for Stevie Ray Vaughn (that's a poor taste helicopter joke).
