One man's brutal dictator....

--- Quote ---Donald Trump condemned Fidel Castro as “a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades” after the Cuban revolutionary leader’s death aged 90.

The US president-elect pledged to fight for a free Cuba as he decried the “totalitarian island” where Mr Castro’s legacy was “firing squads, poverty and unimaginable suffering”.

“Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty,” Mr Trump said.

Is another man's revolutionary hero...

--- Quote ---Jeremy Corbyn has praised the “heroism” of Fidel Castro and paid tribute to Cuba’s achievements under his rule.

For all his “flaws”, the Cuban revolutionary would be remembered as an “internationalist and a champion of social justice”, Mr Corbyn said as he joined a chorus of tributes from the global left.

Describing Mr Castro as a “massive figure in the history of the whole planet” after his death last night, Mr Corbyn said that Mr Castro inspired socialist movements across the world.

In a later statement, Mr Corbyn said: “Fidel Castro’s death marks the passing of a huge figure of modern history, national independence and 20th century socialism.

“From building a world class health and education system, to Cuba’s record of international solidarity abroad, Castro’s achievements were many.

Oh I wouldn't. I would legalise and regulate it. Remove the need for pimps and madams and gang masters.

I was commenting on the social justice hero worship thingy. Everything was so wonderful for the Cubans under CASTRO...err erm.

But anyway, he was quite right to challenge USA and it's witch hunt against comies, and his country takeover by the mafia which was pending...

I agree. It was the Americans who enforced poverty on Cuba.
