Coronavirus - anxiety relief
« on: March 22, 2020, 03:59:25 PM »
Most people are anxious about COVID19 , aka the latest coronavirus.

I'd like to keep this thread on a positive note (do please note, Spammy et al.) to reduce anxiety and hopefully make us grateful for the moments that can bring a smile.

I'll start off:

I have no idea where this started - I just picked a random Italian Twitter account to copy it from and have no idea how to download and reupload it.

Sorry, I just can't resist....

I find the best way to avoid anxiety about Corona virus is by simply remembering that we are all just insignificant ape descendants, inhabiting a small blue/green planet orbiting a sun within an infinite universe....
......& we're all going to die one day anyway.

So just don't worry & enjoy what little time, within the grand scheme of things, that you have left.

So true but in spite of all that we have a Saviour.  Be righteous as our Father is righteous.  That is the state we are in.   Even if everything seems pointless we are asked to be righteous, and on the Miscarriage of Justice Forum to follow the rules.

True. And satellite images show how pollution has been decreasing.

Social distancing.

That's just a slight exaggeration on what is actually happening:  I passed a woman on a path this morning and we both stepped off into a bit of a bog to increase the distance between us when passing.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

I don't think it was intended to reflect reality - just a means of transmitting the general message in the hope of it going viral (pun not really intended).

I would have "Liked" your comment if I could, but I can't at the moment for some odd reason.

If only you would consider what you say because it is sometimes offensive.

However, you haven't yet considered that the use of the word, "Infinite" is in itself limiting.

Carana, have you noticed that you are one vowel away from being a deadly virus?

It has been pointed out to me.

Does that make me a femme fatale? lol

Anxiety?  Half of me is scared witless.  And the other half of me believes that there is nothing to be done.

We are just a species that Nature sometimes feels the need to cull.  I don't have a problem with this.  So long as it doesn't involve me personally.  Ho Ho.  Such is the human mind.

I do worry about this late at night.  And then I give myself a talking to.

It has always been about the survival of the fittest.  This is just another one.
