I would expect most countries would demand proof, and with good reason - IMO

It is not acceptable for someone to make claims, merely on 'feelings'

How would you expect anyone to get this Proof?

Ah, now that is something else altogether and is perhaps not possible.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.

Not really. You started by asking if there would be a resolution this year.

A resolution of the case may not result in Madeleine being found, dead or alive.
Nor may it result in anyone being prosecuted.

But Proof is still required.  Proof even that Madeleine is dead.  And so far I have seen no such thing.

Proof of what?

It is possible that no trace of Madeleine will ever be found.

I don't know.  In the absence of Proof I prefer to hope.  Is there anything seriously wrong with that?

I don't know.
Ongoing disappointment due to unfulfilled hopes could lead to depression.

You are much more likely to suffer that than I am.

I could ask you for some evidence to support that very bold statement, but know you don't have any.

Being of a stoical nature, I take things as they come  and refuse to become up-tight over events.

Only if she was taken illegally by her current family.  You seem to be suggesting that children who are stolen and placed within new families and cultures should be left alone in case it upsets their faith in humanity.  That’s quite bizarre IMO, if you believe in justice.

I said only cast iron evidence of wrongdoing would justify turning a young person's world upside down.

DNA would be cast iron evidence in these circumstances.

You would probably need the 'cast iron evidence' before you could get permission for the DNA test.
