To a high legal standard no but very likely all the same.
So is it fair to say that you haven't found where the idea that kerosene = bleach came from aside from someone's imagination, either?
- The step-mother testified that she noticed bugs on a pillar (photos don't show any indoor pillar, so I assume the area is outside).
- She sent Leonor off to buy creosote, but the shop didn't have any, and she came back with kerosene, which also has pesticidal properties. *
- The step-mother then duly brushed down the area with the kerosene and a wire brush.
- This was 6 days after Joana disappeared.
So... for a whole week, no one living in or visiting the house noticed bloody prints on the inside?
Just how likely is that?
* Kerosene is an effective pesticide, killing a large variety of insects, notably bed bugs and head lice. It can also be applied to standing pools of water to kill mosquito larvae. It covers the insects' respiratory spiracles with a thin film of oil, which prevents the exchange of oxygen, smothering the insects.
