What are your thoughts on the virus? Are you changing how you usually live your life?
At the moment self and family are carrying on as usual just taking a few extra precautions eg using gloves in the gym and taking hand sanitiser everywhere to clean hands after touching anything communal.
Afaik I'm healthy but taking steps to improve my immunity by eating all the right stuff and cutting back on booze.
I'm not working currently out of choice so would be happy to do any unpaid work eg dropping off food for the elderly who might not be up to ordering online or helping out in other ways.
I think the elderly should be encouraged to get online to Skype etc.
Where on earth did you manage to get hand sanitiser, Holly?
I'm not really elderly(66), hubby is 72. We have just been on Skype with our little grandson in Canada, so yes, I agree with you there. Unfortunately, a number of elderly people don't really know how to use computers (I know this, because I'm a volunteer at our local family history centre, and most people who need help with their research need it because they aren't familiar with I.T).
We have cut down enormously on socialising (no choice, as everything we usually do is closed), now down to dog walking and trips to the depleted supermarkets. We don't mind that much: we have a garden, computers, TV, books. I think some people are going to hate "social distancing" though. At the end of all this, I would guess that a good number of people who have managed to escape the virus will have mental health problems, or will be thinking about divorce. Just my opinion---------.
