Profile: Oscar Pistorius' sister sets up home in London

Convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius and sister Aimée.

Aimée Pistorius reportedly departed South Africa because of stress according to Oscar Pistorius' psychologist.  The Pretoria High Court previously heard that Aimee‚ to whom he is exceedingly close‚ left South Africa for Britain to get away from the stress and publicity following his marathon trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Aimee Joy Pistorius (26) is the youngest child and only daughter of Henke and his wife Sheila Pistorius, she was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng in South Africa.  She has two older brothers, Carl Pistorius and Oscar Pistorius. Her mother Sheila was just 45 when she passed away.  She graduated in 2007 from the Pretoria High School for Girls.  In 2010 she graduated from the University of Pretoria and took up a post working as a assistant lecturer at her alma mater.

Aimée was employed by Investec in South Africa at the time of the murder on St Valentine's Day 2013 but this year transferred to the London office as a business analyst.  She announced her move to the UK on May 6‚ when she tweeted a photo stating, “And so the adventure begins”‚ alongside one word‚ “London”.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

The law is an ass sometimes

5 years (only 10 months served inside) for culpable homcide but 6 for murder? Will be out again before you can say Jack Robinson.

Endangered species poachers, and cattle thieves get decades in prison sentences and thieves get 15 years in SA
But a man who the courts decided murdered his girlfriend gets 6...
Masipa says a lengthy prison sentence doesnt serve justice, well dear, try applyng that philosophy evenly then

Sentences should be just and I dont believe the "mitigating circumstances" quite cut the mustard.

(How do you cut mustard btw?)

He is not a very good actor is he? You could see his grin when being led away, was a done deal beforehand.
I hope Nel objects, just for the record at least.

Read opinions on #oscarpistorius

Lastly I dont believe for a second that Reevas parents thought it was "fair"

Next move, poetic justice in the future. No man can escape that.

The Prosecution have 14 days in which to appeal the lenient sentence since Judge Masipa broke established sentencing guidelines.  In addition, handing down a 6 year sentence for murder could set a dangerous precedent in South Africa.

Precedent for who? Ive read the cliches about rich famous and white or just rich and famous and them always getting a lessrer sentence or not beng found gulty at all and unfortunately it seems to be being borne  out

I dont for a second think SA judges will start lessening sentences for murder when they hand out sentences of over a decade and more for just theft (referringto black people mainly of course)

The pitiful thing about this sentence apart from its length is that OP will be out within a year albeit under house arrest, thats just under 2 years suffering for him for taking someones life

Even in the UK you can do more time for robbery and lesser crimes

Pathetic
