Jury sent home early today.

Another terrible day for the prosecution, the defence are currently trying to get the case dismissed.

The lead investigator (prosecution witness) agreed under cross that Oulson's phone weighed the same as a cue ball & if thrown could cause...... great bodily harm.

The state have thus far not managed to disprove Reeves claim that he was struck by something, possibly the phone.

Also, assault on a person over 65 is aggravated battery, a forcible felony in Florida.

Hi, sorry yeah.

The storm knocked out my power the other week so had no internet for days, then had family & work commitments etc so couldn't update about the trial.

I caught up with some of it, the police investigation was a total mess & the evidence against him weak.

Reeves gave a very solid account on the stand, which you might expect being an ex cop & having had 8 years to perfect his version & the prosecutors were woefully inept.
The state should appeal the acquittal on the grounds of ineffective assistance of prosecutors.

Grumpy old interfering git got away with murder imo
