And from me too.  A jolly good effort.

Thanks folks.

Is it possible that, you could give the case it's own more prominent board amongst the other missing persons here & I'll move all the articles to there?

Laptop Found In Search For Missing Teenager

Over 100 volunteers are taking part in a search for the missing teen who left home in Bristol with her laptop and phone last week.

Saturday 28 February 2015 15:15, UK

Over 100 friends and family are taking part in a search for the 16-year-old

A discarded laptop has been discovered during the search for missing 16-year-old Rebecca Watts, friends and family say.

The discovery came as more than 100 friends and family took part in a search across Bristol, where the teenager was last seen over a week ago.

Police said she left her home in Crown Hill, in the St George area of the city, on 19 February with her phone, laptop and tablet computer.

She did not tell her friends or family where she was going, or take extra clothes.

The teenager, described as shy, was reported missing by her family at 4pm on February 20.

John Galsworthy, Becky's paternal grandfather, said the family were trying to remain strong as the search intensifies.

Mr Galsworthy said: "We are broadening the search. There are groups separate to ours who are going out using their own initiative, going wherever necessary to try and find her.

"We are continuing in the hope there may be something discovered today. We want everyone to keep their eyes and ears open."

Police divers have searched a lake in St George's Park, close to the youngster's home.

Dogs and mounted officers have been involved in the hunt and officers from neighbouring force areas have also been drafted in to help.

The detective leading the hunt has said Rebecca's disappearance was "totally out of character".

Detective Inspector Richard Ocone said: "She has not taken anything that would suggest she was going to stay away for a long period of time."

Her father, Darren Galsworthy, has suggested on his Facebook page he fears his daughter may have been attacked.

He appealed to any wives or girlfriends who have washed any blood from their loved ones' clothes that cannot be explained to get in touch with police.

Police previously said there was "nothing to suggest" that Becky had come to harm, despite the fears of the girl's father.

A social media campaign using the hashtag #FindBecky has also gathered momentum.

Becky is described as 5ft 4in and slim, with long, bright red hair and was wearing a dark navy blue Puffa jacket with fabric sleeves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Avon and Somerset Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Rebecca Watts search: Two people from Bristol arrested

28 February 2015 Last updated at 16:37

Two people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of 16-year-old Rebecca Watts from Bristol.

It comes after about 150 people joined a search for the teenager, during which a laptop computer was recovered.

Rebecca was reported missing after failing to return to her home in Crown Hill, St George, on 19 February.

Avon and Somerset Police said the search continues while two people from the St George area of the city were being questioned.

Darren and Angie-Mae Galsworthy, her father and mother-in-law, said: "We continue to hope that she will be found safe and unharmed, but we will prepare ourselves for the worst.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has assisted in the search for Becky and for the messages of support.

"We continue to work with the police to bring their investigation to a successful conclusion and we would like to ask members of the public to continue to report anything, however small, if they think it may help to find Becky."

A laptop computer was found by members of the public searching for Rebecca Watts

The recovered laptop was given to police who are yet to comment on whether it is significant, but the force said that when Rebecca went missing she had her own computer with her.

Officers are continuing to search a lake in St George Park and say they may also trawl nearby lakes and rivers.

She took her mobile and laptop with her, police said
As well as her laptop, Rebecca had her mobile phone with her but no clothing when she went missing, the force said.

John Galsworthy, her grandfather, said the family were trying to remain strong as the search intensified.

Addressing those who had gathered, he said: "We are broadening the search.

"There are groups separate to ours who are going out using their own initiative, going wherever necessary to try and find her.

"We are continuing in the hope there may be something discovered today. We want everyone to keep their eyes and ears open."

Detectives have previously searched Troopers Hill nature reserve as well as Rebecca's family home, which is close to St George Park.

On Friday Det Supt Liz Tunks, head of Avon and Somerset Police's major crime investigation unit, took over the case.

As part of the search, Mr Galsworthy said more than 6,000 leaflets had been printed, with around 1,500 more expected to be delivered next week.

At the scene: Maddy Ware, BBC Points West
Becky's family was joined by friends and also members of the public who have never met Becky but have been moved by the story.

The family asked those joining the search to look for a laptop, a black iPhone and a dark-coloured puffa-style jacket.

Becky's grandfather also said it was important for the family to keep busy as they try to stay positive and maintain their hope she'll be found safe and well.

I don't think they generally find odd lap tops lying around, especially in an area where one has gone missing.
But two people have been arrested, and while not necessarily guilty, The Police must have found something.

Missing Rebecca Watts: Police search third property in desperate hunt for vanished teenager

23:33, 1 March 2015 By Piers Eady, Laura Elvin

Avon and Somerset Police have now called in reinforcement from three neighbouring forces as the search for the vanished 16-year-old intensifies.

Search: Police have been searching a property in Wilton Close, Bristol, as they hunt for missing Becky

Police are searching a third home in Bristol in their desperate hunt for missing Rebecca Watts.

Avon and Somerset Police have now called in reinforcement from three neighbouring forces as the search for the vanished 16-year-old intensifies.

Cops said searches of houses in Southmead, Bristol's Barton Hill area and the family home were part of "lines of inquiry".

Forensic teams ended their search of the Barton Bill property on Sunday but a police cordon remained in place overnight.

Six specialist search teams, including officers from Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall and Gloucestershire, are involved in the operation.

Earlier today, officers were reportedly been seen digging up the garden of a house six miles from her family's home.

Cops have been carrying out a meticulous search of the semi-detached property since Saturday afternoon.

A black car has also been examined since being picked up in the same streeet.

Neighbours reported forensics teams hunting through the boot of the Vauxhall Zafira which had been on the street for more than a week, but did not belong to any locals.

Today forensics officers were walking in and out of the house in Wilton Close, Southmead, Bristol, carrying evidence bags, with an officer standing at the gate.

Locals said police had been searching the two-storey house constantly since Saturday, and that it was privately rented by a family with two or three children.

There was no sign of the residents - reported to be staying in a local hotel - and it is not clear whether they are connected to the two people currently being questioned by police.

Neighbours said officers had been conducting door-to-door enquiries since Saturday, with police asking if they knew Becky and showing them photos of the teenager.

One neighbour, who asked not be be named, said they believed the garden of the property was being dug up.

Another neighbour said tonight: "They were here yesterday at about four in the afternoon.

One anonymous neighbour told the Bristol Post that they believed the garden of the property was being dug up.

Another woman who lives on the road said: "They keep themselves to themselves really.

"There is an older woman who is on a mobility scooter, and she takes around a little lad about two, up and down the road.

"I think there is another woman, and two girls, maybe about 11 and eight."

Police officers extended the cordon around the property at about 5pm on Sunday as residents gathered in the road.

The semi-detached property stands at the end of the street next to an overgrown outside area, filled with rubbish and old cars.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the hunt at the property was linked to the search for missing Becky Watts.

He said: "It is a line of enquiry we are looking into at the moment into the Becky Watts missing persons enquiry.

"It is only one of a number we are looking into."

He would not confirm if officers had been digging in the garden.

Becky Watts search: Police given more time to question pair

2 March 2015 Last updated at 11:14

Police have been granted more time to question two people who were arrested in the investigation into a girl missing for more than a week.

Becky Watts was last seen at her home in the St George area of Bristol on 19 February.

Three homes in the city have been searched as part of the investigation, Avon and Somerset Police said.

Officers can now question the pair for a further 36 hours after an extension was granted by Bristol magistrates.

No details of the two people have been released by police, and the reasons for their arrest have not been revealed.

Searches are continuing at houses in Wilton Close, Southmead, at Cotton Mill Lane, Barton Hill, and at the family home in St George.

Forensic officers arrived at the Barton Hill address at about 11:00 GMT.

The BBC's Jon Kay said officers could be seen using ladders to access the house in Southmead and neighbours said a black estate car, which had been parked outside for about a week, was examined and then removed by police.

Timeline of Becky's disappearance

Friday 20 February - Becky is reported missing at 16:00 after her family says she was last seen at her home the previous morning.

Tuesday 24 February - Her father Darren Galsworthy and stepmother Angie-Mae Galsworthy appeal for Becky to get in touch. Meanwhile, the nearby nature reserve at Trooper's Hill is searched.

Wednesday 25 February - Becky's home in Crown Hill, St George, is searched.

Saturday 28 February - Two people are arrested in connection with Becky's disappearance.

Monday 2 March - Police are granted more time to question the arrested pair.

Officers began searching the Barton Hill property again on Monday

Officers have also searched a car parked outside the house, the lake in St George Park and Troopers Hill nature reserve.

Avon and Somerset Police said it was now running six search teams, including officers from Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall and Gloucestershire forces.

A dog unit from South Wales Police will also be helping with the search.

In a statement, Becky's father Darren, and stepmother Angie-Mae Galsworthy, said they "continue to hope" she will be found safe but they were preparing themselves for the worst.

About 150 members of the public joined an organised search of Oldbury Court estate on Saturday in the hope of finding evidence.

But further public searches have been postponed, according to the Find Rebecca Watts Facebook group.

The message said members were "trying to work alongside of the police and help them with the investigation".

"Police have urged us to flood everywhere, especially shopping centres, with posters," it read.

Man and woman arrested on suspicion of Becky Watts murder

Added on 02 March 2015 at 16:35

This afternoon, Detective Superintendent Mike Courtiour released the following statement regarding the search for missing teenager Rebecca Watts:

On Saturday afternoon we arrested two people in connection with the Becky Watts missing person investigation.

A 28 year old man and a 21 year old woman were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of the kidnap of Rebecca Watts. This afternoon, they have been further arrested on suspicion of the murder of Rebecca Watts

Both are still in police custody at this time.

This morning, a district judge granted us a warrant of further detention which gives us a further 36 hours to question these two individuals.

In the meantime, our search for Becky continues unabated.

We are drawing upon all possible resources to help us. Additional officers from Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Devon and Cornwall and police dogs from South Wales Police have been drafted in and support from the police helicopter.

Search and missing persons' experts from the National Crime Agency, College of Policing and the National Missing Persons organisations continue to work with our enquiry team.

We have extended our search parameters to include a house in Southmead and one in the Barton Hill area of Bristol. These are detailed, forensic searches which will take some time to complete.

We continue to carry out both open land searches and detailed house to house enquiries in the local area.

We have also conducted extensive CCTV enquiries and detailed analysis of traffic cameras in the area.

I would appeal once again for anyone who may have any information on this case to come forward immediately. Someone out there might have vital information which could help us find Becky.

This morning, we published an appeal for information from anyone who may have seen a black Vauxhall Zafira, registration number HY06 HYA, in the local area anytime between the morning of Thursday 19th February to Monday 23rd February.

We have seized this car but we need the public’s help in us tracing where it might have been during those key days.

I would also like to repeat our thanks to the local communities who have been supporting this investigation from the beginning. We have all been touched by the number of people who have offered their time to help with the search for Becky.

I would ask that any public searches planned over the next few days are coordinated through us so we can dovetail these with our extensive search plan.

We have also been impressed by the level of engagement we have had with our online drive to find Becky. The #FindBecky has reached thousands of people and the total reach for our social media campaign has now reached more than 4million people world-wide.

Becky’s family are understandably distraught and we are working closely with them to support them at this difficult time.

Finally, I would like to repeat our plea for anyone who has any information regarding this investigation to contact us immediately.

You can call us on 101, leave information anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or use our online reporting tool on our website.
