Following on from another thread on which there seemed to be little agreement with regards to a statement DCI Redwood made not long before retiring, I thought it may be interesting to get the thoughts of the forum members to what they thought the statement below actually meant

"While I completely accept that there are differences (between the break-ins and the McCann case), there is no abduction that we can see, but the assumption from that is that Madeleine McCann has been abducted. That may not necessarily follow with all our thinking about what may have become of Madeleine McCann."

Its gobbledegook, plain and simple. Direct clear statements wouldnt go amiss

Redwood has been plain and simple

What's plainer than that

Interesting choice of words to describe Redwood's actions.

'Redwood said the assumption that Madeleine was abducted "may not follow with all our thinking" on the case.'

Meanwhile, all that money spent, Redwood retired, and nothing to show for it.

Okay, Fellers.  Stay with the On Topic and Non Insulting.  Otherwise I might get cross.

Did Redwood say they had been questioned? Nope he cleared Tannerman and resurrected Amaral's Smithman and brought the dogs back. He wasn't looking for a living abducted child.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

I will be very interested to see exactly what SY have been doing...rather than all this speculation...we won't find out until they have completed their investigations...which could be some way off

I would think financial assessment is well underway by now. Decisions like this are not just made on the spur of the moment, are they?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -
