You are right Anne, looking for her is what the parents never did.
They looked for money, and still do today at this Lisbon Court, they looked for fame, they looked for recognition,...but they never raised their butts to look for HER.

Bless you poor little Madeleine.
I guess I know why they never did. But I don't agree with the looking for money, for fame, for recognition. The issue is much more complex.

I have just noticed that that Mirror article refers to Susan Hubbard as the McCanns priests wife.  Are they for real?

Can the reporting get any worse?

Good job one of our members attended today...report soon.
The Daily Mail, the Daily Express and the Sun were identifying Mrs Hubbard with Mrs Healy (who was called but said "not present"), I corrected them.
Mrs Hubbard looks very much the mother kind and Mrs McCann looks more fragile than ever.

8)-))) Typical Mirror.

But there's a line in K McCann's own book that says the same as Hubbard. I'll go search for it.
Mrs Hubbard was surely full of good will, she jumped here and there to help here and there or bring water (very hot day), she has certainly very well read "Madeleine".. as she used the same arguments for all the questions. Sometimes she was silent, sometimes she hesitated. The general impression is she wasn't sure but wanted very much to be helpful.
She's not married to an Anglican priest for nothing..
