Well as Amaral given £50,000 to a children's charity?     He said he would if he won.

Can you provide a cite for that please?

What Sr Amaral did with money that was gifted to his cause makes no never mind.
The Drs McCann have been directed by the courts to pay the court costs of the defendants.
Note! court costs.
There may have been an order for them to pay a portion of the defendants legal fees but this in unclear.

Precisely Alice....court costs owed to the Portuguese govt...
Could it be that this has been put on hold pending the outcome of the case against the Portuguese govt....just a thought

Meantime, fund organisers continue to confirm that they will donate any money left unused on legal expenses to a Portuguese children’s charity.

Going to the ECHR has nothing to do with the Supreme Court decision.

The McCann's owe the money and they have to pay up.

All of it.

Any unused funds will, as we stated in 2009, be donated to a Portuguese children's charity

The McCann's owe the Portuguese govt

Do you know if it has been paid...the answer is no
Do you know if it has not been paid and why
Again the answer is no

I would say that until he receives any outstanding monies due to him, he won't know how much is left to donate to charity.

If there was any advantage to be gained for their cause we would have heard. Perhaps the Home Office settled the bill for them, they seem to have deep pockets where this case is concerned.
