It has been brought to our attention that certain individuals whom we have graciously allowed to join our forum and participate in discussions have chosen to post malicious derogatory comments about the forum elsewhere.
In the circumstances therefore we have deemed their membership null and void and have deleted their accounts. They will not be permitted to rejoin.

There are far more than "a pair" of plonkers on that site !
Unfortunately there are at least 3 members of that site, and another notorious sewer site who are members here also !
All posting snide comments about respected members here, members from here who go out of their way to back up their assertions with citations, unlike the guttersnipes who huddle back to the respective sewer sites to receive orders from admins. who haven't the spine to sign up here themselves !
Admins. who are so entrenched in their hatred of anyone who questions Kate & Gerry's word that they will change screenshots to make a respected member of this forum look silly, admins. who will slate at a hands turn the words of another respected member who's court reports have been posted on this forum without want of thanks or praise, an ordinary member who has taken time out of her life to present the proceedings of that court case to those of us who can not be there, at her own personal cost. Yet the admins. of these fora see fit to slander and slate her reports.
Says a lot for the so called 'Pro's' doesn't it !
John, you and your admin. team are doing fantastic work in providing an equal and level playing field for all sides of debate, please don't give up !

Is this a thread to have a go at another forum then? Why would you ban someone for posting elsewhere? Is that a forum rule? Posts on the internet are to be restricted only to this forum?

Is this a thread to have a go at another forum then? Why would you ban someone for posting elsewhere? Is that a forum rule? Posts on the internet are to be restricted only to this forum?

Sometime the balance between removal and non removal of posts is a very fine one and there have been times when I've asked for a second opinion. There are also other issues to consider, legal implications as I found out much to my own detriment and the admin team.
I have NEVER removed any posts based on the poster or their beliefs and to an extent I try not to post in the McCann segment of the forum anymore because I am trying to be impartial. When I have made mistakes, I have apologised for them.
Having read the forum being referred to, the Jeremy Bamber forum has not and has never banned anyone for being a member of this forum and there's and nor have we. There have been incidences of cross posting about members, at one point we had a 'truce' between forum which the JB forum still upholds and always has, they do not allow our members to be discussed on their forum. I am not willing to comment about their other members, I am not a member of the forum now.
I hope that none of the posters who have posted on the said forum ever cross Kevin Craigie, the murderer who to this day is trying to clear his name and plead innocence. The same bloke who posts slanderous, libel or false comments about people under several different names on any forum where he gets the chance because he hasn't got the decency to use his own name, borrows money and never pays it back, declares his own death and posts his own obituary having committed suicide twice and then assumes it is me who posts on other forum which I have never even been on about him. A convicted murderer who gets a job with the CAB working with vulnerable people.

Well, the Mccanns want to know who people on the net are....why would they want to do that? if, in Kate Mccanns words, she is past caring what is written online?

Have you also never read the myriad comments made here there and everywhere over the years, including in Kate Mccanns book, about this, that and the other forum should be shut down etc? Of course you have, so why the comment about no one saying anything about shutting people up? And who ever claimed to matter or to be able to aolve the case? No one......

Very strange thread. Members posting on other forums will be banned. Certain other forums discussed in a derogatory manner within it. People will not be told what to post or think. It is their right to think and express their ideas when and where they want to. Express it in the wrong place, if you don't want to say the parents of a missing child are guilty, and you get a ban.

People might not like it when comments are removed or warnings/short bans are given, none of us do but that doesn't give licence to start an online war elsewhere in my opinion. Derogatory, unfounded, false, lies and libellous comments don't tend to go down well and when you're named on site after site with the aforementioned it tends to wear thin after a bit. Banning people is ALWAYS our last option.

How does anyone know what is being said on other Sites? Unless there is a rush to read them and then come running to tell tales?

Why on earth should Admin tolerate those who come here with the sole intention of disrupting the forum, and whose aim is to shut down any and all open discussion of the McCann case ?
If that wasn't provocation enough, these trolls then scuttle off to their dark corners of the internet to boast about being banned as though it were a badge of honour, and use filthy language to demean, ridicule and slander our moderators and members
Admin have shown admirable tolerance in the past, but enough is enough

There is no 'defence' of the McCanns in the 'places' you allude to ... there is no discussion or debate which requires any defence, given that any questioning of the McCanns version of events is simply not allowed

It's very simple, any member who brings the forum into disrepute by posting derogatory comments elsewhere will have their membership reviewed.
I am very aware of who you mean and have read the posts you refer to. Let's just say three strikes and he's out.
Most members abide by the rules but there is always one or two whose only agenda is to cause derision. From now on a zero tolerance policy will be applied to troublemakers.

If you do not agree with deletion alone then feel free to contact admin. Fair moderation applies to everyone. I am here to moderate posts in the first instance and not the people, however when there is a consistently breach of the rules outright or enough people contact admin then they will act accordingly.
I will always give a warning where there is a clear breach of the rules, however, I cannot give an instant ban.

Well, we do have two choices here. Give up or go on battling it out. I tend to fluctuate between the two depending on which phase of the moon it is. Sometimes I can hack it and sometimes I can't. But I don't think it makes a lot of difference in the end.
None of the shite is going to get The McCanns arrested.
