This thread has me curious how on average only 2500 pounds is spent on searching for a missing kid.

Is this because most are found so rapidly?

No, that's completely false.  In fact most under 18's who disappear are found within 48 hours.  Very few children disappear completely in the UK each year and are never found.

What is true however is that the amount of time, resources and money spent on the search for Madeleine McCann was wholly disproportionate to that spent on most other missing children cases.  No wonder the parents of other missing children are so angry.

The people on that site, including children have not been found.

Madeleine is just one missing child among many. The resources allocated to her are disproportionate compared to any other case, and there is nothing to show for it either.

What would you prefer to have happened in the investigation.

The investigation discontinued a year or so ago.
Or the investigation halted this year before the announcement of further money to be spent.

Money has been spent, a lot of money, and nothing to show for it.

Now Erngath, what about all other missing children. Shouldn't they have resources spent on them.
