Amaral was writing his book before the files were released on the case.

Who waited 9 years ?
Detective Steve Thomas resigned in August 1998 after investigating JonBenét Ramsey's death for nearly 20 months and published his book in 2000.

And a very good book it is too.

Pity Amarals book isn't any good ... but then people know that it is littered with untruths

While Amaral's book will never win any literary prizes it is interesting in its own way.

It doesn't reveal much more than the media did actually. Nobody in France understood why this book was banned (the French translation wasn't). It gave the book an importance it hasn't but came too late : all potential readers had already bought it !

Did you feel hatred after reading it ? I didn't.
