ABDUCTED AND STILL MISSING CAMPAIGN
« on: June 08, 2013, 03:03:29 PM »
We are starting a Campaign to promote those unfortunate children and young adults who have been abducted over the years and who are still missing.

As part of this campaign we have introduced the following graphic which takes a look at three of the disappeared, namely, René Hasée now 23, Madeleine McCann now 10 and Ben Needham now also 23.

This is an ongoing project so any input you might have would be gratefully appreciated.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

If you don't mind, John, can you substitute "abduction" by "disappearance" : in none of this cases there's evidence of abduction.

But there's no evidence of these cases being anything else.
Joanna Cipriano should be added too, John, IMO.

So disappearance is a more neutral term and one, I've noticed, that is favoured more and more by newspaper editors.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

I haven't found any evidence that little Joana Cipriano ever returned home that night (aside from a neighbour who saw her walking towards home), let alone is dead.

There's Amy Fitzpatrick as well. Missing teenagers often don't get much attention as people often assume that they ran away and don't want to be found.

Oh well its Johns choice, not mine.

In Joana case, there's a double confession.

And how were the confessions got out of them?

I never objected to the Portuguese Forensic Laboratory using the word "disappearance" in its report.

But I found (find) it highly significant that the FSS use the word abducted.

I don't have a problem with substituting another word for "abducted".

Long-term missing children?

This is not the issue and nothing you're able to confirm or infirm. There was a judgement, wasn't it ? One of these days I'm afraid, DCI, you'll start suspecting there's cannibalism in Portugal ;)

I hadn't noticed it. Yes, highly significant. We'll never be careful enough with words.

Somewhere there is a translation from a Portuguese paper brought to us by (of all people) Moore that confirms a Portuguese court found proved that Leonor Cipriano was tortured ...

They (now) have to grasp the concept that a "confession" exacted under torture is not a safe confession, and they'll be there ...

Yes, I take your point Anne.

Yes, I intend to add Joanna and any others which are suggested to us.  8((()*/
