There are no perfect parents, and there are no perfect children, but there are plenty of perfect moments along the way.

Kate answered about 19 hours of questions
Any sensible person would have fled Portugal from a system where innocent people can be held for a year on remand

Kate had quite rightly lost all confidence in the Portuguese police
What I find a disgrace is the Portuguese media promoting the alerts as Prof of death in the apartment

I find it a disgrace that witnesses were consistently interfered with by the UK media, the arguidos in the case and their PI's.

I want to add that since January this year I have received numerous phone calls, messages and visits from the press regarding the collector of donations, which in turn put me in contact with other people such as Brian Kennedy, Kate and Gerry McCann. I feel that this is a constraint that makes it difficult to take the more correct decision.

I would say they have told them all they know
I think the planned recon was simply to try and find someway of incriminating the mccanns
We know from amaral that as far as the PJ were concerned  the McCanns were guilty

It's what the police do, the McCann's were not immune or exempt.

I disagree, any parent of a missing child would do what the parents of Ben did and that was to stay and encourage both police and civilians to look for the child.  Alas, no trace of Ben has ever been found but they tried, they put personal gain aside and dedicated their lives to finding their missing child.  The Needham's don't attract hate, derision and loathing.

Unless someone comes forward, I cannot see Madeleine ever getting justice but it won't be the good people of Portugal to blame.

I havent put any blame on the good people of Portugal
I blame those peddling lies that the alerts are proof of death in the apartment

Davel.

What do you intend to achieve by complaining about that on here ?

You could always take your concerns to the Portuguese media organisations.

.

They were in no danger at all.

After all they had backing from Brown and Blair.

They could well have been just that, scent associated with the previous owner who died.

tHat is simply your opinion...I would disagree...until it can be stated with certainty ...which it cant...that they were in no danger it was correct for them to flee for their own safety.

The McCanns did what they had to do

And it worked out so well?

So what danger were they in, with all the publicity surrounding the case, and the backing they received from members of the UK government including prime minister's ?

I'm all ears on that one.

Is there even the slightest evidence that clothes belonging to the previous inhabitant who died, were taken back there ?

if they had been arrested then it may well have been that politicians would have been unable to help them
