An artists impression of what Maddy may now look like.

Thursday, 27 October, 2011

My grandparents always used to say that the years pass more quickly the older you get. It certainly feels that way. I still dream of being able to stop time. Our only alternative however is to continue doing as much as we can to the best of our ability to enhance the search for Madeleine. So that is what we’ll do.

Thank you to everyone who has bought and read my book. Not only is this helping to fund our investigation and campaign, it will also improve and maintain awareness of Madeleine and our need to find her. It seems obvious that the more people who are informed worldwide, the more eyes and ears Madeleine will have assisting the search for her. We are really grateful for your support.

We also appreciate the general public’s help in achieving a review of Madeleine’s case. It is a big relief to us that our government finally agreed for a review to take place. We are grateful to them and to the Metropolitan Police Service for undertaking this fundamental and highly valuable procedure which has been underway now for several months. Although it will be a lengthy and difficult process, it is definitely a major step forward for Madeleine.

I would also like to thank everyone who has written to us or sent their support in some way over the past six months. We have once again been touched by the incredible kindness and commitment shown to us and Madeleine, and bolstered by the continuing encouragement and positivity.

Yes I agree with all of the above  8(8-))

I just think that if Maddie was 'ordered' by a childless couple or paedophile ring then why her and if such a gang operated why have there not been repeats either in the vicinity or further afield?

Why oh why did the parents leave three small children, all aged 3 or under at the time, unsupervised in an unlocked holiday apartment?   8(8-))

This might sound harsh but I just think that had the McCanns been a working class family staying in a working class resort they might have been treated differently.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Spot on Holly, a nice middle class couple got treated very sympathetically by the press in spite of clear parental neglect. Imagine how a working class "Chav" family would have been villified by the press if they had done the same thing.

The fact is when you're a parent you can't live your life free of responsibilities and indulge in your every whim like you did before children came along. Well, you could, but only if you arrange for your children to be supervised while you do so. How hard would it have been to arrange for someone to be looking after the children while they enjoyed themselves? Yet they were more interested in socialising. For these reasons I can't take to the McCanns at all. At best they are selfish and neglectful parents. At worst, well, I'll leave you to fill in the blanks!

I must agree to some extent, how hard would it have been for one of the so-called adults to have taken turns to look after all the kids?   Excepting the one male who apparently is mentioned in the Gasper statement of course who allegedly made sexual innuendos about Maddie..

Regarding the supposed protection by their middle class status, can people detail where such working class people have been worse treated.

This is 'Debunker's Challenge' which has never been successfully overturned:
Produce any comparable case (where children were left alone in a domestic setting, checked every 20 minutes, and with the parents having no previous recorded childcare or other social service or criminal history) which resulted in a child neglect conviction.

as part of this i'll refer to little Ben Needham...

i really felt that they would find his body under that pile of earth and rubble , it would have solved a 22 year old mystery and might have gone some way to explaining Maddy's disappearance.  i find it hard to beleive that someone can vanish for that length of time unless they were dead.
so the same applies to Maddy. if she hasnt been seen of since 2007 then surely she must be dead

This does not follow, although she might be.  Some children do reappear after many years.  My main concern is that Madeleine was very young and might have forgotten who she was.

That woman is unbelievable. She chose to not respond to the questions that were posed to her even though she acknowledged that she knew that it could smear the investigation. She refused to do a polygraph test when offered  to do it after she had promised to do one, she admitted on TV to never have physically searcedh for her daughter and yet condemns others for not doing so, she insulted police officers in her book that were there to help her. She is a disgrace.

Kate McCann exercised her legal right as an Arguida not to answer what were insulting questions designed to implicate her.
And if you read The Questions properly you will see that she had already answered several of them on a previous occasion.  It states this in The Questions.
None of The Questions were designed to help find Madeleine.

Who are you to say they are insulting questions ?

Try to remember it was the UK police  who suggested the PJ investigated the Mccanns.

In any investigation questions have to be asked, whether a potential suspect likes them or not.

ALL potential suspects will be answered awkward questions.

Why should the Mccanns have been any different.

Why should the Mccanns have been any different.

All suspects have a legal right to refuse to answer. And a lot of people do refuse.

I note that you are not interested in the fact that Kate had already answered several of them on a previous occasion.

Is that a serious question?

Are you not aware of the basic similarity that these were missing people/children who have after considerable time been found?  They were missing, there was no evidence of their deaths, they were potentially findable. In their cases thankfully they were found.

Madeleine McCann is missing. There is no evidence of her death. She may possibly be found in the future.

If you cannot see that similarity then...
