So

Its now
BHH
Murdered
Or stolen by someone else (presumably that means someone other than a potential murderer)
AR
Or lost

BHH speaks of trying to resolve which case it could be, AR is saying they are trying to find her! Though also having said he hopes for a resolution but that doesnt mean solving the case

Does the left hand know what the right is doing?
Just who is running this circus?

I find it fascinating too

But I think that I can maybe understand why the two lines of enquiry.

Enough said.

The reason is clear.. for the eyes of the world -  it has to be a foreigner!  The PR machine would not allow otherwise!

We sit and watch  >@@(*&)

I suddenly find myself thinking of Robin Day speaking to John Nott, telling him he was a: "here-today, gone-tomorrow politician" 8)-)))

Not to him probably but he's hardly an expert on the case if he doesn't know the name. The detectives working on the case is what matters.

Agreed.  But he didn't point the finger at the McCanns - so everything he said must be trashed.   So predictable.
The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

Nobody's trashing him. He's human, of course he has every right to have feelings, sympathies and opinions.

But he also knows the PM has made his opinion perfectly clear too.

At the last count the MPS were about 3/4 of the way through the documents. Sheesh another 12 months of this; ah that puts it close to a general election and some nasty politico with an axe to grind might yell waste of money. >@@(*&)
One hates to be a party pooper but if there was any crime committed it was on Portuguese soil. Therefore the PJ remain the honchos. Unless a joint task force is set up with MPS in charge which will need interference by Europol and for them on a scale of 1 to 10 this case will not even get off the bump stops. And so it rolls on.

What a ridiculous post, no one is trashng anything he said, in fact many people respect BHH for not beng dragged in by snotty little journalists trying to get him to say the PJ were crap..to suggest anyone anywhere was expecting BHH to point the finger at the Mccanns and is disappointed so will criticise  is bizarre at best

BHH has been quite exemplary to date in general

No he didnt, when asked by the snivelling sensationalist jumped up gossip monger, he just said cases are left unsolved in the UK too, the UK force wouldnt necessarily have done any better

He wasnt there so cant judge he said, and quite right too

And he didnt!

Dont think the Uk police have ever had such a case where they were assaulted and their investigation interfered with on such a humungous scale either

Britain's most senior police officer has suggested his officers are closing in on the people who abducted Madeleine McCann.
Scotland Yard boss Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe admitted his officers have the names of suspects and that ‘some progress’ is being made in the inquiry.
But he declined to be drawn on when the suspects would be quizzed over her disappearance in Portugal seven years ago.
He told BBC’s Radio 5 Live: ‘We have sent three letters of request for international assistance to the Portuguese judiciary, because that is the way their system works.
‘We have got lines of inquiry which are different to the Portuguese Police’s and we are working with them to try to resolve that.
'We are making some progress.’
Asked by presenter Nicky Campbell whether his officers had the names of suspects, he replied: ‘That is correct’.
He declined to comment further.

Ok where in the world does he say that the "suspects" even live in Portugal?

Or that their name is not "McCann"?

He confirms they have suspects.  We know that.

So why all the tippy toeing around?  The Portugese would drag in 3 burglars in a heartbeat if requested - but nothing's been requested.

Just standard formal letters sent by the CPS (implying the case is nearly ready for prosecution) regarding procedure for some suspects who are already lined up.

Suspects that have been left to roam free through Portugal?    [ ....moderated.... ]

Why would the CPS
