Film "I Daniel Blake"
« on: November 29, 2016, 08:04:31 PM »
Has anyone seen this film (directed by Ken Loach) ??

Very emotional and moving.  Is it representative of what things are like for the poor in this country?  Do you think it was true to life, or was it somewhat exaggerated?  The reviews I have read seem to suggest a bit of both.

I was totally disgusted that a man who was obviously too ill to work, was denied his benefits.  I was also disgusted that a young mum with two children was forced to move 300 miles away from her family and friends, in order to find a home for herself and her kids.

I could see very early on how it was all going to end.  So sad.
