Premeditated murder, murder or culpable homicide?
« on: July 02, 2014, 01:19:23 PM »
What should be the verdict on Pistorius assuming 'not guilty' is not an option?

South African legal experts on Sky News say they believe Premeditated Murder is not a possible verdict.

I don't understand this as OP either chased Reeva with his gun in hand or returned from the bathroom to get his gun when Reeva locked herself in the toilet Either way OP had many seconds on his stumps with gun in hand before deliberately firing at her through the toilet door. To me that is premeditation even if it was also acting in extreme anger.

What verdict would you choose?

I think he is  creep and somewhat mentally disturbed, but I can't see him deliberately and cold bloodedly murdering her, somehow.

He heard her scream after the very first shot but he continued to fire.  That says it all for me really.
