Trial by Media.

Having being doing some study work into how much media access has changed in the last century. New technology, vastly improving how much information can be had at the touch of a button. How do we feel this will effect or has affected our Justice system, mainly on the influence it may have in modern court hearings?

I have a question. If you were called for Jury service on a high profile case, one no doubt gaining vast media attention, would you?

1) Ask to be excused on the basis of bias, via what information you had obtained through media influence?

2) Trust in yourself to accept only the evidence within the trial, in the court room?

3) Accept, knowing that both will influence you thus bringing in a bias conclusion.
