IIRC Kate confirmed the short sleeves Eleanor.   The description of  'long sleeves' could well be a flawed memory.  No self respecting policeman would dismiss the whole of someone's description of two people on the strength of one discrepancy.

The police are well aware of how fallible memories are and do not expect witnesses to have perfect recall.

Quite.  Aoife gave her statement about the sighting more than three weeks after the occurrence.  She says the child was wearing long sleeves but also says she couldn't see very well because the man's arms were around the child.  Of course in "sceptic land" there's absolutely no likelihood whatsoever that she could have been mistaken, is there?!

I reckon SY, the worlds finest police force, are gonna crack this case and no mistake.

They'll collar that pyjama changing abductor, who had a key to 5a & could be mistaken for Mr McCann, and Maddie will be home in time for christmas.
