This might mean something or nothing...
In JM's WS of 8th/9th Sep she sets out her statement in chronological order starting off with general background info. Post murders she provides a brief outline for most days up until her police interviews.
On 26th Aug she states:
"On the bank holiday Monday, 26th August 1985 nothing of interest happened.
On 27th Aug she states:
"On Tuesday 27th August 1985 during the late morning Jeremy and Brett drove me to Chelmsford Railway Station as I had made my mind up to leave the house in Goldhanger."

"I have been asked about my movement on 26th August 1985, I can say that I did not go to the Whitehouse on that day. I believe that during the early part of the morning Jeremy went to the Whitehouse alone returning about lunchtime. He made no comment about who he saw or what he had done there. As far as I am aware he did not go back to the Whitehouse that day as we left between 2pm and 2.30 pm and went to London."

"The following day, Bank Holiday Monday 26th August was Julie's twenty-first birthday. Mary Mugford had organised a family dinner at a restaurant near Colchester. Brett joined them..."
- Why was JM asked specifically about 26th Aug?
- Why didn't she mention it was her 21st birthday and the celebratory dinner? She has mentioned all other social occasions and meals taken at restaurants.
- Dinner will usually mean an evening meal.
- JM said she and JB left Essex (not clear exactly where) and went to London. No explanation where in London or the reason etc. Caterham Road is about 1 hour 15 mins from WHF with Morsehead Mansions about 1 hour 30 mins.
- If they went to London on 26th Aug it appears they must have returned to Essex as on 27th Aug JM's states JB and BC drove her to Chelmsford railway station to return to London.
