I've uploaded BC's police interview from 1985. Along with 2 recent press articles.
BC appears to have changed his mind based on JB's recent claim he has an alibi, known to most as the 'trick of the light', which is perhaps not surprising.
However, other than the above the press articles completely contradict his police interview?

As someone who has changed their mind, I don't feel I need to look at BC's 'before and after' statements.
It's highly possible that, in the beginning, BC, having spent time with Jeremy A) knew Jeremy was responsible but supported him anyway, perhaps hoping to be part of Jeremy's new lifestyle. B) supported him out of nothing more than friendship and trust, keeping any doubts suppressed and denying them. C) believed him without question.
It's possible that with the release of the series combined with Jeremy's current attempt to get free, he's decided to unburden himself. He has nothing to gain by lying at this stage.

I'm sure you don't. I'm speaking of nothing wider than the immediacy of changing one's mind. After reviewing a situation, it's something we're all entitled to do. I wonder if you'd be quite as dismissive if you could find the jury members who sat on the Bamber case and discovered that they now believed Jeremy was innocent.

I can’t see any contradictions between Brett Collins statement to the police in 1985 and what he said to the press recently...it’s almost identical.
There’s a few minor details he’s added about the woman in France and how Jeremy was enjoying himself clubbing and taking Cocaine...but he wasn’t asked that in the police interview, so why would he have mentioned it?
All this does is show that Brett speaks in exactly the same tone and manner as he did in 1985, and that although he knew Jeremy was a thief in NZ and also bought Heroin (which of course he wasn’t going to volunteer to police as at that time he thought JB was innocent of the murders and didn’t want to stitch him up), he quickly realised JB had lied to him.
There’s certainly no love lost there, and Brett dumped JB in 1985 when he realised he was a mass murderer.

He's entitled to change his mind - the interview was years ago, are you saying he always had to think the same way as he did 35 years ago?

Don’t forget, Brett was a young man back then & had only known Jeremy a very short time so didn’t REALLY know him that well. Add the fact he was in a foreign country & had been arrested too, he must have been terrified. He obviously withheld details about what Jeremy did in NZ as he felt a sense of loyalty to him, and as he’d accepted Jeremy telling him Sheila had done it he just answered as honestly as he could without expressing any doubts he may have had.
Brett did say he became suspicious of Jeremy during their time together, but wanted to believe he was innocent because he didn’t see how anyone could do such an evil thing. He soon saw the light, though, hence why he cut Jeremy out of his life.

Right - but 35 years later he has had time to change his mind. Seriously Holly, if you can't understand this small point then no wonder you're wasting time and money on the bigger picture.
