I’ve read a few interesting articles on women attracted to murderers in prison, which I’ve always found baffling. Why would any woman be attracted to a murderer, or/and a prisoner?
I’ve noticed the majority of Bamber’s supporters are women, and whilst some claim they only feel sorry for him (which doesn’t wash...), or some say they believe he’s innocent (which still doesn’t wash...how much proof do they need FGS?) I suspect 99% of his supporters have a warped infatuation with him.
I’ll post some links to this weird, unhealthy phenomenon
Meanwhile, does anyone know the rough percentage of his female followers?
And how many in near total he’s had over the last 35 years?

It's the bad boy syndrome. Interestingly, these relationships never last once the offender is released. Karen Torley and former death row Scot Kenny Richie being such an example. Torley campaigned for Richie for 12 years before eventually getting married to him. Don’t agree with Amnesty's comments on the case nor Clive Stafford Smiths
‘Amnesty International and Reprieve are urging the Ohio state authorities to allow Kenny Richey the opportunity to have this fresh evidence heard. This may mean that his case is re-tried, that he is accorded a new evidentiary hearing or a re-sentencing hearing is allowed.
The human rights organisations are also pressing the UK government to support Mr Richey's case in line with the government's policy of opposing the death penalty in all instances.
Amnesty International UK Director Kate Allen said:

‘ British human rights campaigners were jubilant over his release. This is a great day for him and his family."
Stafford Smith, a US-qualified lawyer who first championed Richey's claims that he was wrongly convicted, said his former client's plea bargain did not mean Richey accepted blame for the girl's death.
His deal allowed Ohio's state prosecutors - who have repeatedly refused to accept that Richey was wrongly convicted - to save face and avoid a protracted retrial for the girl's murder.
Although a federal appeal court overturned his conviction last August, leading to judges ordering a retrial, the prosecution had insisted he started the fire which killed Cynthia in a drunken rage following a row with her mother, his former girlfriend.
By pleading "no contest" to much reduced charges of endangering Cynthia's life by failing to honour a promise to babysit her - thus leaving her unprotected when the fire began - as well as an unrelated burglary charge, he had been cleared of the much more serious death row murder conviction.
The precise charges were designed to equal the 21 years he has served, allowing him to walk free.
"There should be no mistake that this deal is nothing short of complete vindication for Kenny," Stafford Smith said yesterday.
"The prosecutors no longer accuse him of murder or having anything to do with starting the fire. Instead, they have charged him with, essentially, failing to babysit.
"For all intents and purposes, he will walk free from jail today completely exonerated - now he must work to get his life back together."
The deal means Richey has no rights to claim compensation from the state of Ohio, leaving him effectively penniless. Although he has signed an exclusive deal with a Sunday newspaper, he has no job in the UK and his supporters believe he faces a difficult and uncertain future.

He's a thug Joanne. In my opinion he should never have been released in the first place by the US authorities. Karen Torley should be ashamed of herself but then again that Glasgow troll isn't much better.

I’m not in any way comparing the women who support Jeremy Bamber to the two women in this programme, who both discovered their husbands were paedophiles. There’s never been any suggestion at all that JB was that way inclined, and Im certainly not inferring he was/is. The only reason I’m posting the link to this documentary is that the the older wife in the second half of the programme displays the exact denials that the supporters of JB do who is a convicted mass murderer.
Her psyche is one of total denial, despite him being imprisoned, and she absolutely refuses to believe he was capable. There is a twist at the end, though...it’s worth watching if you’ve a spare 20 minutes and gives immense insight into how some women can brainwash themselves.

The first woman thought her husband was normal; they had a nice house, children etc...he had a job teaching...
After the police arrested him she got rid of him, obviously
The second woman who is older clearly didn’t want to believe it and actually behaved like a lovesick teenager when she was collecting him from prison
I kind of felt sorry for her in a way...
Her mentality reminds me of these women who think JB is innocent.

I can understand her not wanting to believe that he was a paedo, it makes their whole life together a lie and a waste and no one wants to believe they have been that close to someone like that.

Yes, I can understand how she desperately tried to eradicate what he’d done out of her mind: it’s self-preservation, I guess, and accepting what he secretly was throughout their long marriage must have made her feel dirty and tainted too, so she refused to accept what he was. And despite what he’d done they’d been married for about 40 years? Her whole world would’ve imploded by accepting what he was.
The difference, though, is that she had been his wife for all those years so of course she found it traumatic to process; whereas women who actively seek out men they’ve never met, who are in prison for the most horrendously evil crimes must have something wrong with them.

Occasionally the betrayed partner will compartmentalise that betrayal, or mitigate it, as a defence mechanism for the psyche (or ego, if we're referencing Jung's theory of the ego being largely responsible for feelings of identity and continuity), and it's not a conscious decision, to the point where the denial is seemingly apparent to onlookers, but an incongruent concept to the them - they don't see it.

Yes, I did say the majority of his supporters seem to be women, though Ive never totted them up 😌. Nor do I know how many supporters he has who simply don’t post — I don’t look at the blue forum, so I can only go by what I’ve seen here and on Twitter. He may have more male supporters than I realise as they perhaps don’t post; hence my original question

I am intrigued by the composition of the Bamber Jury.
Does anyone know how it was balanced out; - age - gender - ethnicity - social standing etc and in particular where on that scale were the two jurors who did not vote.
Initially I thought both might have been female given his youth and undoubted good looks but not necessarily I now realise, given what I've been reading on other threads.
Jurors are allowed to speak after the trial about what happened in open court ... has any one of them done that?

No idea about the ages, ethnicity, who voted for what or subsequent interviews/revelations, but the jury comprised seven men and five women. Wilkes noted that two of the women were in tears, so they could have been the ones who fancied the pants off the Boss-suited guy in the dock.

I've heard it said such a case would usually be heard at the Old Bailey not the local Crown Court.
I'm assuming jurors are called from a certain radius from the court?
