Disappeared and Abducted Children and Young Adults => Madeleine McCann (3) disappeared from her parent's holiday apartment at Ocean Club, Praia da Luz, Portugal on 3 May 2007. No trace of her has ever been found. => Topic started by: carlymichelle on October 15, 2013, 08:51:43 AM

and looking after their children people can skirt around the issue but even if there was a abductor if the mcanns had been there they would have been able to protect her that is why people will always question the mcanns because of their total lack of judgement leading to the vanishing of a precious little girl all IMO
and they have never said dont do it they instead are defensive about it maddie paid the price for that lack of judgement and selfish behaviour not the mcanns
-
You didn't really need to start a new thread to state that Carly, it's mentioned on nearly every thread on here.

im just renforcing the issue no one can deny that without the mcanns lack of care that maddie would be missing now

And, IMO, Crimewatch underlined this. It was all there...Madeleine telling her parents, as best as she could, that she was unhappy and anxious. The McCanns, off to the Tapas Bar, leaving their children in an obviously unsecured apartment. The inadequate, half-hearted, almost grudging checks on the children.
Is there no one who cares enough about Kate and Gerry McCann to advise them to make a public confession of culpability, then to stay well away from television cameras?

People tend only to take advice when it suits them. I feel the McCanns are unable to accept their culpability in this matter
-
But they did and ifs and but don't help madeleine
-

people shouldn't need telling..
perhaps you should write to all the holiday company's and tell them who use the listening service ..
make yourself useful for a change carly instead of parroting what the mccanns did over and over.
-
The trouble here is that, after all the expressing of feelings about this by so many people, Kate McCann still said (last night) "We're not the ones who have done anything wrong here".... So much for those (are you listening Sadie?!) who say that they have admitted they were wrong.

they have not admitted they were wrong at all and that angers people because people say the mcanns are the victims and they are not maddie was

that they are growing up in the shadow of maddies vanishing and being taught as toddlers that a monster took maddie etc
-
Yes
A) that they have lost their sister
B) that at some point they will learn the full story and may see the role of their parents in this differently from how they have been told up to now
C) that they are growing up at a time (childhood) when the world should be an innocent and enjoyable place without the burdens of adulthood, being afraid of "nasty" men etc
And so on
-
that they are growing up in the shadow of maddies vanishing and being taught as toddlers that a monster took maddie etc
Were they told 'a monster took Maddie'?
The McCann's have received expert guidance on how to answer the twins questions Carly.

Kate talked about Madeleine being exhausted on the very day she disappeared but never explained why. I will tell you why.
Madeleine was dumped in the crèche as per usual while mummy and daddy did their own thing. Unbeknownst to them Madeleine was down at the beach sobbing her heart out in the lap of a stranger, a nurse, because she was afraid to go out in a boat. And then we hear that she also questioned her mother that same morning about being left alone in the apartment.
And still they left her alone!!

i also read she had a cold so she was scared at night and crying wanted her parents and had to get confort from a stranger on the beach that is appaling

poor little maddie she had a terrible holiday no matter how you look at it

They have been telling each other that they aren't to blame for so long that they even believe it now.

Dumped in the crèche.
I have never used the crèche facilities myself, but have been away on holiday with people who have. Actually their children begged them to go. Lots of the children seemed to be going and my friends children wanted to join in with them.
They put on little plays and did lots of other activities which they loved.
My friends have taken their children away on holidays to the seaside and abroad to a holiday typical of the one the McCann's went on.
The children have enjoyed both holidays equally.
So I don't think dumping the children in the crèche is a very appropriate description here.
If the children didn't want to go, as all children they would kick up a fuss and not want to go.
By all accounts the children were enjoying themselves.
As for crying in the lap of the nanny, well as Kate said Madeleine had said that evening that she had had the best day ever and that she was having lots of fun. So maybe she was apprehensive about the boat ride to start with no doubt she enjoyed it.

Probably the biggest understatement I have yet read. Jesus Christ.

where you there ffs how would you know what kind of holiday madeleine had...are going by your own experience of the shitty holiday you had when your neglective parents left you alone
madeleine looks very happy in her holiday photos so stop making things up ffs
-
"Why didn't you come when we were crying mummy?"
Sounds like she had a whale of a time.

Why is it only Madeleine who was DUMPED in the Kiddies club.. I don't see any of the other children who were signed up for it being described like that.
Kiddies clubs are designed specifically and exclusively for the enjoyment of the children - they are not torture chambers. Perhaps people think it would be better to drag them round a chillly beach, or keep them cooped up in the apartment when it rained - rather than let them have a great time with other children in a Kiddies club.
If they were not popular with the children they would not exist.

How often do you see photos of children smiling and looking happy and the article is about how the parents or boyfriend of the mother beat up, tortured, starved or murdered the child.

The children of the other couples only went to the creche in the mornings whereas Madeleine and the twins were put there morning and afternoon and left alone at night.

People might be using the word dumped, because she was sent to almost every available session, whereas other children seem to have only gone to some of them.
These creches may be more popular with parents than children - I don't suppose anyone has ever done a survey.

FFS it was not one time pam heard maddie crying for 70 minutes one night do you have no compassion for maddie?

What was available for the children?
They went to the play area, they went to the pool, they went to the beach.
Anything else?
They enjoy the crèche. They had a holiday in Ireland not long before, who is to say they wouldn't have got another holiday by the seaside later in the year?
-

Mrs. Fenn did not say she heard Madeleine crying, she heard a child crying.
The child could have been the child of one of the Tapas group, this child wasn't well, the father was with her. This child could have been crying for her dad, he could have fallen asleep.
Why is it always taken that it was Madeleine?
Do you think Madeleine would have cried this long and not woken the twins?
Kate said she was in the apartment when Madeleine was supposed to have been heard crying.
-

Yea...it was such a great holiday she has never been seen since.

Then why not leave the children in the night crèche too ?
After all.......Madeleine had commented about waking alone and crying the night before and this had obviously concerned her parents enough for them to consider increasing the number of "checks."
Why choose an unrelaxed, interrupted evening meal filled with anxiety about ones child waking distressed when an alternative was available?
-
Yea...it was such a great holiday she has never been seen since.
Yes, a great holiday while it lasted, until some evil slime ball took her from her bed.
-

Not according to Redwood. He says there were 11 children from 8 families in the OC crèche the night Madeleine disappeared.

Kate said she was in the apartment when Madeleine was supposed to have been heard crying.
Exactly. And the bar staff confirmed that the only night the group stayed later than usal was on the 2nd. Mrs Fenn heard a child crying on the 1st May.

The McCanns liked routine - (a major reason why they were so easy to target IMO). And they knew their children's sleeping habits - which didn't fit in with the Creche times. They probably thought it was far less disruptive for the children to continue with their usual bedtime routine. Carrying 3 children back from a creche is no easy task - especially considering the considerable distance involved from the Night creche to 5A. IMO

You should read more Angelo, that way you might get something right, for once.

I never noted anything strange in Madeleine's comportment during the time I stayed with her. There was one occasion, on Thursday, 3rd of May 2007, around 10H30 in the morning, where she cried at the launch of the yellow safety boat in the ocean where all the children were sailing. She was scared and fearful and cried on my lap "I am scared, I am scared." We only used the launches to transport the children to the small yellow boats. When we returned to the other boat she was happy again. She sailed in the small boat and even though some children had the opportunity to return to the port, she stayed for a second time as she appeared to be having a good time. Jane Tanner's daughter also took part in my group and together they would play. Apart from being a happy child in the club, she always seemed very content when she saw her parents. Madeleine did not demonstrate any fear with the return launch to land.
Madeleine never mentioned that she had cried in the absence of her parents nor did she tell me anything of significance relating to feeling sad or something relevant that would cause me to worry.

Still unproven.

Ah!..........I don`t know what the "crèche times" or hours are.......
I thought that the service would be flexible enough to accommodate a variety of sleeping habits, since it was available to what would be a changing clientele from night to night.
With so many friends, I expect the McCanns could have found volunteers to help carry their sleeping toddlers back......in the same way they had helped with the "checking"
It had been demonstrated the night before that sleeping habits could not be relied on and as such had caused concern such that the "checking" had been increased.
Thanks for your points.

Good point and the hours were 7 30 to 11 30
And what was wrong in having a couple buggies...going on hols with three toddlers and no buggy?

A friend of mine who works at the private hospital where Mrs. Fenn was interned said that she told everyone that the children cried every night.

In exactly the same way any wrongdoing by the Mccanns is unproven.

My neighbour's hairdresser's second cousin twice removed says she knows exactly nothing about Mrs Fenn, what went on that night or anything else. She did add it's quite true though, hearsay is, Mrs Fenn said it.
It's absolute nonsense isn't it, hearsay says Mrs Fenn said it, other hearsay says she denied it. It means nothing second hand.
