The rifle which Sheila Caffell was murdered was an Anschütz .22 semi-automatic rifle manufactured in Germany. despite its small calibre (.22) its bullets travel at high velocity causing terrible damage.
At the trial of Jeremy Bamber, the length of the weapon was considered more important than its power. With his sound moderator fitted the weapon measured 1.24 m. To reach the trigger and shooting herself in the chin, Sheila would require an arm length of over 91cm.
In order to show that suicide was an impossibility, forensic's expert Glynis Howard lay on the floor of the courtroom holding the rifle between her knees and attempted to reach the trigger without success.
Here is a another photograph of the Anschütz .22 semi-automatic rifle with sound moderator fitted which clearly shows just how long it actually was with the silencer fitted. It really was a quite cumbersome piece of kit to manoeuvre in any enclosed space.

I'm not sure who edited this post for me, but tesko used the word "resumed" when I presume he meant "exhumed."

He wants to recover one of the bullets from one of the twins. Not that they haven't got another 20 odd to play with already. I wish him luck persuading Colin Caffell on that one.

He is an insensitive piece of work alright. Is he now suggesting that poor innocent Sheila had access to different ammunition now? I also notice in Shaws manuscript that he states that two weapons were used that morning to kill the family. It seems he has some special knowledge of events, hope he has an alibi for 7 august 1985?

It's a disgusting, vile and ultimately disrespectful suggestion, and I notice that not one member over there has challenged him. That forum is a damned disgrace, it does nothing but harm to the memories of the deceased, the remaining family, and, ironically, Bamber himself.

Just why do Tesko and Preece have carte blanche to accuse and abuse as they do, posting lies and insults 24 hours a day? Why are they allowed to defile memories, and stalk the remaining family who have done nothing wrong? Does Jeremy Bamber and his team sanction such filth?

If poor Sheila was intent on killing herself, she would not have placed the gun to the side of her throat, as in the first shot. She would have shot herself under her chin, or through the roof of her mouth. And she would have done it in the boys' bedroom. If she hated June and Neville as much as the other forum would have everyone believe, the ultimate punishment for them would be to find her and the boys dead. She would not have wanted to take June and Neville with her. She would have wanted to leave them behind to suffer and grieve.

Apparently, Sheila turned, in the space of a couple of hours, from being quiet, shaky and withdrawn into a precise, exact assassin, capable of standing over the sleeping boys and executing them in arcs of shots. No adrenalin then, no tears of regret on her face? No sorrow for the little boys that she loved and wanted so much? They suddenly meant nothing to her? She was depressed, not deranged. She would have protected the children, if she could.

Tesko is the worst kind of obsessive troll, and jackiepreece is his familiar. Within the next few weeks Bamber will be condemned forever, thank goodness, and peace will be restored. Peace for Sheila and the boys, Neville and June, and the remaining family. And Tesko and preece will have to find another lost cause to pursue. Ian Huntley? Karen Matthews? Ian Brady?

Evening Adam. Does he sleep at night because he seems to be always wittering on about some old rehashed theory or something. As far as I can see they are all just treading water waiting for the ccrc to dump the latest bad news on their doorstep.
