After 6 long years of doing very little personally on the searching front yet imploring others to do so on their behalf, is it about time the McCanns got their own hands dirty and went back to Portugal to search the surrounding area properly for their missing daughter?

Kate says in her book they looked the next day for abour an hour...They jumped over bushes and stuff....that was it....I dont see them ever havng searched or willing to search because they know there was nothing to be found.....

Isn't that why hundreds of people made donations to the Madeleine Fund? A fund which was supposed to be used to search for Madeleine.
On the other hand isn't that why Mr Amaral has been forced to defend himself in Lisbon against accusations that he damaged the search? A search which they themselves have not once partaken in.

You have posted this idea several times and I think it is totally ridiculous. What the McCanns have done is to force SY to investigate the case and this will have far more effect than them trudging through Portugal. I applaud them for their efforts

Investigating the case and searching for Madekeine are two separate issues. What you are in truth saying is that the McCanns have persuaded SY to do their dirty work for them now that their efforts have been exposed on so many fronts as a costly sham.

The Mccanns had 3m plus through their fund early on...documented.....pls dont tell me they paid PIs all that money to search for Madeleine.....where did the money actually go

A bit late to go out searching now Angelo. I just hope she turns up alive and well some day and asks wtf.

Not according to the McCanns apparently as they have said they are going to use the fund to do their own search when and if the police one fails.

Yep, but they wont be daft enough to be trawling around PT, poking among the bushes, like I think you once suggested.
I know that you feel passionate about it and have declared that you would do just that, but there are other more celebral ways that are more likely to get results.
Personally I dont think that she has spent much time on PT soil since the abduction. PT would be one of the last places I would look ... but I would look at some PT peeps and some Brits.
But then, i know that I could be wrong. Lots of pointers tho
