Who Supplied Sky News with the first image of Madeleine McCann?

There exist a series of all the first Sky News reports on the 4th May.  https://youtu.be/RazOGuQ_r8E
The first image of Madeleine appears at 11:00 AM  so can we determine who supplied that to Sky News?

This is a remarkably good find, although I haven't watched all of it yet.

It will be interesting to see what The Forum makes of this.

I made a rough transcript of the 11:00 AM bulletin "I've just had a bit of information from the people at the Ocean Club. The parents were actually at the restaurant at the Tapas Bar, which is actually on the complex, and the children were actually in the apartment or the town house by themselves, they've actually had the door agar, they've kept looking over and going over themselves the parents checking on everything. I think it is a bit positive with the door being open we maybe little Maddie has just walked out, and obviously gone missing"

Now that information has definitely NOT come from the McCanns. They never say the door was agar, they never agreed that Madeleine walked out, they don't call her Maddie.

I've listened to that several times and I get the impression a door was found open, not just closed or unlocked but open or agar.  https://youtu.be/RazOGuQ_r8E?t=387

I have tried to explain this several times already and it has not been understood as yet Kate and Gerry aren't saying it is impossible for Madeleine to open up these doors and gates but for her to open and close them all in a perfect sequence seemed to Kate to be impossible for Madeleine to do. She might have been one of those kids that get their toys out but never put them away. She might open a gate or a door but never close it behind her.

This is why I am intrigued that the person who Mark McCarrick spoke to implies a door was left agar and the only single door in the apartment was the front door.  The patio door had gates as well to exit.

Jon Corner wasted no time;

By this time our friend Jon Corner, a creative director in media production in Liverpool, was circulating photographs and video footage of Madeleine to the police, Interpol and broadcasting and newspaper news desks.
[Madeleine]

The time Kate is writing about is while they were waiting to be picked up and taken to the Police Station for interviewing on 4th May.

It was the morning of the Fourth of May.  I doubt that anyone had the time to get anything first hand.
Unlocked or Ajar could be something very similar if repeated by someone else.

However, the early arrival of Consular Services doesn't seem to have been found to be unusual, which I personally never thought it was.

Thanks for that.  This all sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

So it could then be confirmed if it was Jon Corner who sent that particular photo in to Sky News.

No, I don't accept it as proof.  And anyway, who sent the photo isn't really important.

I am more interested in the immediate reaction of The Press.

What I had proposed previously is that that photo (now seen as used in the Sky News program that morning) is not actually Madeleine McCann but someone else.
That picture is part of a video clip and at no time IMO is that person shown in the video proven to be Madeleine McCann.
If Jon Corner released the photo it is possible he chose the wrong photo to send in.

The images in this video produced by Jon Corner could confirm it was him who sent the photo to Sky News. https://youtu.be/kE9jPtVchak

Also this Spanish video has Corner's images "Madeleine McCann 3rd Anniversary Video in Spanish" https://youtu.be/kE9jPtVchak

I have been asked to intervene here so I will.  Any poster claiming, abduction, murder, infanticide, accidental death or any other theory relating to Madeleine McCann's disappearance as a FACT will be sanctioned accordingly with a ban.  I cannot make it any clearer than that.  It is unknown what happened to Madeleine at this juncture so please be guided by this warning.

That is a good bit of work qwerty I would never have known to look into document.  Paragraph 8 is also significant in that it was only the BBC that confirmed that the information given to them by Jon Corner was correct.  Now since the photo was shown on Sky News that could still be a possible clue that it was not the correct photo.

I have had two people analyse this video section from which the Sky News "Missing girl" photo originates and in their opinion there is nothing to indicate that the video is actually of Madeleine McCann (other than the coloboma on the right eye) or that is was filmed in any location associated with the McCanns.  Please have a look at it and see if you can prove them wrong.

YouTube videos like that are compilations by other people using videos they have saved from various sources.  If the channel holder was "Gerry McCann" then I might think it was Gerry who linked up a series of his home videos but here we have an owner we don't know.  There is no evidential proof gained from reading the title of the YT video.  Ignore the title.
That video was uploaded by AwesomeRandomnessGirl5 and looking at her channel she has no other videos re the McCann case so IMO she wouldn't have access to the original home videos produced.
The section in question starts https://youtu.be/epWpdQZGE9o?t=40 and finishes https://youtu.be/epWpdQZGE9o?t=48  (8 second clip)

Is there anything in that 8 second movie that makes you certain you are looking at Madeleine McCann?

Madeleine's image and Madeleine's name have been appropriated by some unsavoury characters in the past ... it does not wipe out that the image and the name they have stolen are Madeleine.
I really fail to see where you are coming from following this line.

I'm not accusing the channel owner of doing anything illegal.  It is just great that someone has saved the same section of footage that may have been sent to Sky News on the 4th.
When you look particularly at that 8 second clip where there is a girl is dressed in what looks like an American themed costume what is there that makes you think that girl is Madeleine McCann?

Other than the fact she looks like Madeleine - her ears & her nose.

Well that fuller photo doesn't come from the video clip, but it looks like the same girl wearing the same costume.
We still have no proof that Gerry sent all these pictures to Pamalam to put them on her website.

I don't know why it is important to you, Robitty.  That is most definitely a still taken from the video ... check out the matching background.  Play it back and watch the position of the legs in the white trousers in the background ... I think there is a clumsy edit there obliterating the screen shot frame or you would have been able to see the match.

Well that does set me back a little.  It would depend on their motive.  It has similarities to the photo used on the cover of Kates' book too.

there were two costume pictures there. Does every one think they are the same person wearing the same costume?

1)  With the head tilted down in the lower picture parts of her face are foreshortened.  Especially her chin.

2)  The position of the camera alters too.
In the upper photo the camera is full square with Madeleines face.
In the lower photo the camera is looking down on Madeleine .... and this again gives a foreshortened view.

Furthermore the part of the body near the camera always looks bigger and the extremities smaller if the camera is too close

Have you ever taken a close up of yourself and the photo shows a great big nose ?  Well that is the same phenomena.

Soz, Rob.
But both almost certainly the same child, who is Madeleine Mccann.
If they weren't Madeleine, but some other child masquerading as Madeleine, there would have been a huge outcry right from the start.

Don't you agree?

Who would be doing the crying out?  Jon Corner seems to have been the person who released the photos to Sky News, so they must have been in his collection of photos.  The ones with the makeup, and the lying on her back and the lollipop one.  All a bit suspect in some way.  So is it possible he filed the wrong photo in the "Madeleine" file and the first picture wasn't Madeleine at all.  That is what I'm believing at the moment.  It was a mistake made by Jon Corner.  The real Madeleine doesn't have a coloboma like the first photo does as far as I can tell.

Do the McCanns actually describe Madeleine's coloboma?

There are different length versions of that video and so the person filming this couching, definitely not kneeling for the view is still from the front when she appears to walk forward.

Can you see the reflection in her eyes?  If they were crouching they may have stood up to move when she moves forward.  I did notice she seems to be interacting with the person doing the filming.  But none of those mannerisms appear in any of the other MM videos.

I've been looking for that too lol. I thought most little girls would smile and then start showing off in their pretty dress. I found her reaction puzzling, particularly the lip-biting, which can be a sign of anxiety.

I watched a couple of times yesterday so it is on YT I'll find it again.  I 'can't say for certain she vomits but something goes past the camera.
https://youtu.be/fccRjC3jbKM?t=146 onward for about 10 seconds.  I think what was moving was someone in background; not vomit.
