Title: The lights that were on
Post by: IndigoJ on July 29, 2018, 10:22:37 PM
Having read the police statements there were a number of lights that were on when they attended the farmhouse that morning, the kitchen , the light above the main door and two bedroom lights on , one with pink curtains and one with blue curtains, not sure which rooms these were?

for those who think JB guilty then JB would have had to consciously think about which lights he needed to leave on, because surely if JB was the killer he wouldn't have put any lights on when he gained entry to the building as it would have alerted the family he was there , so he would then have had to put them on to stage the scene i e to have us believe that his father was in the kitchen using the phone to call him and that SB was awake and threatening him

any thoughts or views on this?

Very possibly some lights were left on anyway given that there were children staying.  I don't think the lights being on has any real bearing on JB's guilt or innocence, the moment he made a noise downstairs June's dog would have heard him.

I doubt 4 lights were left on for the children? i wonder if any one was asked about this?

the dog would know him though and presumably not have barked?

interesting about the dog as i was also wondering about that, why didn't the perp shoot the dog? he was barking away when the police got there , it would have been a good idea to silence the dog and it would have led credence to the "deranged" SC going around shooting everyone in the family, June apparently loved that dog.

Sheila may have. In which case, had Jeremy shot it it's something which would have been leapt on immediately as being something Sheila wouldn't do.

As a parent of jitty children I can confirm that multiple lights are often left on in strange settings! I imagine JB would have loved to shoot Crispy - after all he had him put down after the shooting and Carol Lee's book suggests the dog disliked Jeremy. I guess he daren't risk another reload just to wipe out a non talking witness.

Who knows what went through his mind when he was leaving WHF, remember he was setting the scence for Sheila to be the killer.
