I believe Jill Dando was killed by Serbians. Her murder came within weeks of the murder of Slavko Curuvija. Both were news reporters who criticised the Serbian regime.

"A widow of one of their alleged victims said Miss Dando's execution in April 1999 has all the hallmarks of her own husband's murder, which was two weeks earlier."

"The cartridge case had crimp marks on it of the type often found in Soviet Union and its satellite countries, according to Mr Mead."

Serbian police claim their is a link to Radomir Markovic, Milan Radonjic, Ratko Romic and Miroslav Kurak for Jill Dando's murders.

“The cartridge bore ‘crimping’ scratches where a pointed tool had been used, possibly to tighten its grip on the bullet. This was not the weapon of a professional assassin. Nor was the single shot the modus operandi of someone who had been hired to make a certain kill

Perhaps his world is not consumed with the girls disappearance.

It depends on which is worse.  Being the parent of a missing child or being convicted of a crime you didn't commit, or both.

We'll have to agree to differ, then. If you have the time, you could add up the number of times he refers to Madeleine by her name in interviews over the last 12 years.....

Perhaps because it was obvious that the parents via their friends were trying to fit him up and there could be only one reason for that.

When he was first given arguido status (14/5/07), the only person connected to the McCanns who had possibly provided the PJ with eye-witness evidence against him was Jane - and the PJ were very sceptical of Jane's testimony. Presumably all the other evidence PJ had accrued was disclosed to his lawyer and they were looking for an abductor at that stage. Why blame the parents for the actions of the PJ?

He felt connected because he had a daughter of almost the same age as Madeleine. Why speak about everything but Madeleine?

I believe Kate has said they will never stop looking for Madeleine, (this was mentioned somewhere in the early part of the Netflix doc, but I can't be arsed to look for it).
Never stopping looking makes no sense, since if they found her, then they wouldn't have to look anymore.
They'll never stop looking, because they know she can't be found. In this context that statement makes sense.

Talk is cheap.  Her idea of what constitutes looking is a bit odd for sure.

Why do you find it strange that an individual who has no connection to a child would not mention her in interviews about his ordeal ?

Question for the dog experts:  until a few weeks ago a cupboard in my bedroom contained “human remains”.  My kids’ baby teeth that I pinched from under their pillows in exchange for a pound coin.  In a recent fit of unsentimentality I threw them all away in the bin.  Now, if one of my kids vanished suddenly and the cadaver dogs were brought in to search the house would they alert in my bedroom?

No, unless there was dried blood from the roots which had adhered to the inside of the drawer.
