Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Quite simple. Read the highlight part of the post then answer my question. How would she be being carried if not in his arms ?

"She would not have been still in his arms".  Still as opposed to wriggling around if she was uncomfortable due to feeling cold.

Right, an alternative meaning of still.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

Yer, down through the back lanes, of which there are a few in that direction.

There a few back lanes for the very first part of the journey, Ellie, but none for most of the journey.

There is no shorter route for the man than the direct route from the OC crech on Rua Direita to the junction on Rua 25 Abril where he came across Aoife.   Why carry a youngster further than he had to and on such a cool blustery night ?

The route I suggest he might have taken, if coming from the OC child minding service, would be directly down R. Direita and straight into R. 25 Abril.  Going west all the time.

Going downhill virtually all the time.

I thought the Smith sighting was very close to the beach but it appears 'Smithman' was heading towards an area of bars, restaurants, accommodation, ATM's and other amenities.

He wsa heading towards the little beach hidden away near the Bull Tavern and the Fontazela, or towards the town centre and church.

He was less than 200 metres away from the beach at the final Smith sighting by Aoife

Btw, there are steps down to the beach, sort of hidden away, behind the Bull.   When I first visited, I think that was in "2010, the steps were in a dangerous condition, but maybe they were safe in 2007 ?

That would mean all 3 Smith statements are cobblers, because that's not what they witnessed.

Rua 25 de Abril is uphill on your suggested route.
What's up, old man?
