I wonder how much both parties charge for an interview these days?  It might be an interesting exercise to ask them both.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Well,  unless and until he is found guilty of libel,  what he has done with his money is his own business

No, Sorry, you are wrong about that.  A Portuguese Court has sequestered all of his known assets.  Please note that this was done by a Portuguese Court.. Probably because Amaral is not known for paying his debts.

Didn't it ever.

Goncalo Amaral is a piker, Lovey.  He has been up to his neck in debt since at least the year 2002 when he ripped off his own brother.  Not to forget The Bank and The State.  And never in the year of his vast earnings did he make any personal attempt to pay his debts.
It is of no wonder to me for why The Court Sequestered what they could get their hands on.

And don't you worry about his Lawyer.  His Lawyer will get paid.  Lawyers always do.

No,  you misunderstand  ...  I meant that the ploy to financially cripple  Amaral to the point where he  would not be able to afford to contest a libel trial did not work

Well I don't know about that.  But it was a Portuguese Court who sequestered his money.

Do you think that Portugal has had enough of him and his embarrassment?

And as I said, Lawyers always get paid, one way or another

As someone else has already posted, Amaral was already financially crippled before Madeleine went missing. Maybe he thought that writing the book and doing the documentary and interviews would be a way of 'working' his way out of his debt?

So was the McCann's lawyer lying when she said they  'havn't found'  Amaral's money,  because he has hidden it    ?
