Hello, Hope someone can help as i have searched the site and found nothing. Do we have any statements made by Jeremy Bambers neighbours in and around Head Street?

Very much doubt it, simong.. unless John has any stored elsewhere that he hasn't posted.

Why do you ask ?  Is it because you think they might have heard Bamber returning during the night, or something about a letter addressed to him that was delivered to the wrong house ?
It's one of them cases, in'it... one of them f*ckin' cases.

Not aware of any.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Just interested as to why the police went with the bike across the sea wall theory. I assumed this was because neighbours had made statements saying his car had been there all night.

I have worked in the old parsonage opposite his old house in head street. The old parsonage (large pink house on google maps) layout has living room and kitchen at the back and side of the house. There is a study and cloakroom at the front. The upstairs bedrooms are at the back and side of the house and do not face the road. There is a long passageway upstairs which runs along the front of the house. Although perfectly positioned to observe JB's. You would have to be in the study, cloakroom or passageway to do this. The main traffic areas of the house are at the rear. Just wanted to know who convinced the police that the bike route was the way to go.

Yes, the pink house is really the only one in close proximity and directly opposite with a full frontal view of his cottage, other than the two neighbouring properties in line on the other side. It's certainly near enough to see into his front windows, but during the night with everyone in the house(s) asleep for example, they might have been oblivious to his car starting up, leaving and returning.

As i say, the living areas, kitchen and bedrooms are at the back and side of the property and do not face the road. The police must have been certain that he didn't drive that night so i wonder who convinced them. Dont think it could have been anyone from the pink house though.

A bicycle would pose even less of a risk of being detected of course.
Could have been Robert Boutflour or another family member...  or Julie Mugford, who claimed that Jeremy brought it from the farm for her to use.

From my deep, dark memory, i can remember someone from Mikes forum quoting neighbours witness statements a couple of years ago, so they are around and do exist. I spent two fruitless years asking for itemised billing from Mike, so doubt he would help me with these either! Would be nice to see the statement from the farm workers cottage right near WHF as well.

I see your point with regard to the bike. Boutflour organised searches with the young farmers looking for tyre tracks so i would assume a lot of the bike theory would have come from him. I think it is possible to bike it as well, i just don't like it.

The family were killed between 10.30pm- 3.30pm. He simply could have walked it, couldn't he? I don't understand why the bike or any other mode of transport is so important to the timeframe.

It seems to me that the bike theory came from Robert Boutflour's diary - please see Blue for confirmation.

I visited the area in the summer and I agree imo the bike theory is nuts.  Its impossible to exit and enter Goldhanger from/to Bourtree without passing many properties.

If JB was responsible, and imo he isn't, then I agree by foot was the way to go.

Its all very well saying folk are sleeping, and most are, but there are sufficient properties to make it statistically likely that someone was up eg holiday maker arriving/departing from airport, shift worker, someone gets up to use loo, making love etc, etc.

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Anything Teskowski says I take with a large dessertspoon of salt... he's still engaged tonight in a one-way conversation with his alter ego about producing a photo of Sheila on the bed.

If I was to travel between Bamber's house and the farm and back, my first choice would be a bike. Imagine the adrenaline pumping, nerves jangling, and sweat pouring after killing all the members of your family, the least thing you would want is a long trek back home on foot. Then again if someone else helped him, he might have travelled by car, dropped off at the Chequers Inn and walked back home from there.

Right.. I'm outa here for tonight.
