Back to laundrymen.
Here's a really good photo, taken from Heriberto's blog, showing what a great temporary hiding place the stairwell in block 5 would have been.

Back to laundrymen.
Here's a really good photo, taken from Heriberto's blog, showing what a great temporary hiding place the stairwell in block 5 would have been.
A place to hide something is the low alcove on the left actually under the concrete stair treads.

But the 2 stairwellman sightings were at about 7.30-8.00 pm on the 2nd, and at about 6.00pm on the 3rd.
But even if hypothetically someone did hide something in that alcove at either of those two times, it seems that could not be relevant, as the missing child was seen alive and well after both those stairwellman sightings.

Another photo of the stairwell

There is a light blue plastic or cloth bag on the floor.
Possibly this bag contains dirty sheets or towels and has been left there by the cleaner and is awaiting collection by a driver?

I'm still not sure where you're going with all this. Do you think Madeleine's body was in one of the laundry bags?
All probably discussed elsewhere, but the thing I hadn't noticed before was that the only clothes Eddie marked were from the selection taken away separately by the PJ on 2/8/2007

Wonder what form the "direct examination" took before the items were presented to the dogs?

Of course, I do not think her body was in a case! I am simply exploring your theory of...........Dogs didn't alert to the case that was in the wardrobe that Eddie alerted too, which must have been X contaminated, if there was cadaver scent there.
The clothing which was apparently alerted too, all came from one box.

I also believe that the white bin liner(which I believe it is) being carried along with the large suitcase on left of photo( which due to its reflective material appears white too) is the dirty laundry bag.

Some clothes to be washed were delivered by MW employee to the OC laundry which is located near the Tapas Bar, and IMO this was shortly after those two large bags were carried away from the apartment. Consulting an employee statement we read "recebeu na lavandaria um saco de roupa" = "recieved at the laundry a bag of clothes". The word "um" is singular. So we have two large bags carried away from the apartment, one dark and one white, and IMO one of those two bags is then taken to the laundry.

@Misty
I think the word we see translated as "delivered" means delivered in the legal sense. In other words he signed a form acknowledging that the PJ were taking the clothing etc from the villa. It was not him personally delivering the items to Portimao.
Re the boxes, that villa has a large open plan area, and I think the items from that openplan area went into two boxes, one possibly labelled "lounge" and the other possibly labelled "common room", but I am not sure yet.
Back to laundry, I was just pointing out that various items including a fairly large amount of laundry were taken from the apartment on May 5th (this is in addition to any sheets or towels which may or may not have been removed on the 2nd or 3rd by the cleaner and vandrivers).

The family arrived on the 28th with exactly two large luggage items (source: EMA-FAO luggage documentation).
JIMO we see exactly the same two large luggage items being removed from the apartment in the photo on May 5th.
Two in, two out.
It is possibly one of these two bags which is then received at the laundry (see statements of laundry employees Cravinho and Arez)
