I would head straight to the rocks and hide something underneath.

Eddie concentrated on the Rocha Negra side of the beach. I don't know how much time was spent on the church side rocky area and sea water could possibly affect it. That would be a temporary hiding spot until it can be moved to a safer place. The drains would have been examined.

But Eddie can locate miniscule remains of a 100 yr old corpse, hidden in a rockface, from a considerable distance on a beach, as shown in Jersey. You think that Grime, accompanied by the PJ, didn't search the beach thoroughly?

(snip)... The drains would have been examined.
Probably only at the outlets on the shore.
But the airflow in those large diameter stormwater drains would be uphill IMO.

The rocky area opposite the church. I'm not saying it's that exact rock but that's the kind of place where you could temporarily and quickly hide.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Not that part and it was low tide at 10pm on 3 May so most of the rocky area was accessible.

Yes if any hypothetical concealor chooses which part of this your rocky area to go to, it's obvious to choose the one part which is concealed from view, I will try to find you a photo.

An excellent documentary given that it was made prior to the FSS results being released, a pity in a way it hadn't been delayed till then.
It would have been very interesting to see what their opinion of the results would have added to the programme.

"I've got water and I've got a confined space, and I've got people trained in both"  Gary Lig ... former Senior Search Advisor ... West Yorkshire Police, said as he inspected disused wells on the outskirts of Praia da Luz.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....
