I just read that article and it was quite upsetting to think that someone would abduct a child to post the photographs of a child  on a pervert site.......................Awful, evil and very scary to think such things are going on.

Also imo CEOP were going to pick out strangers in the backgrounds of peoples holiday photos. Presumably to collect dozens of stranger's faces, to send to who? - to which one of the many other UK agencies involved?

To find anyone on a paedophile database, I assume. A strange way to go about it : Find a sex offender and then a crime : and no privacy laws to safeguard the innocent. Sounds like they only wanted to find these sex offenders or part of a ring so as they might link them with Maddie.

No such link has been established.

The institution in 2007 as a whole? no idea.

The particular investigation into the disappearance of Madaeleine McCann in 2007? ... absolutely inept.

I have not read a summation of that particular case from any policing authority or retired personnel - including Portuguese - which considers that investigation to have been competently conducted.

Maybe you have a cite for an independent professional opinion saying otherwise?
