You suggested that Nevill may have been outside loading the wagon when Sheila came downstairs and seized the gun unseen, and that he was downstairs when she started going crazy, so when did he change into his PJs - before or after he phoned Bamber?

That's just the point. We don't know how things developed so there's no point in anyone pretending they do know. Sheila could have taken the gun and opened fire upstairs while Nevill was outside collecting that last wagon load for all we know.

Just to remind you, this is what you said.  You have Sheila opening fire while Nevill was outside.  Do you think he came back in and asked Sheila to cease fire while he got ready for bed?
