If SC committed suicide why did no one hear the shots?

Imo SC took her own life shortly before or after the police arrived.  If the latter:

In many cases, the body's absorption of the muzzle blast will act as a suppressor, trapping the propellant gases under the skin and muffling the sound of the shot.

Plus the sound is minimal with or without silencer: low powered rifle and sub-sonic ammo.  No one from the nearby cottages heard any shots and the main bedroom window was open.

WHF cottages are over 100 metres away, and in the opposite direction to the open bedroom window facing south. Add on the sound deadening effect of trees in full leaf between the two, then nothing would be heard by people asleep there around 3am onwards. I also doubt that there was much rifle noise produced and heard inside WHF either, by the first few shots even without a moderator fitted.
