For God's sake.  They need proof that any child is Madeleine.  How do you think that anyone is going to get this without access to the child, which they have no legal right to in some societies.
This cannot  be done.

If they have no proof, then they don't know where she is. They think they know where she is.

Oh, so you think they know where she is.  So do I.

On the contrary, I imagine that any statement by the mother would be very important in establishing the identity of this child.

Another concerned witness to what might have been the same girl in 2013 had exactly the proper reaction saying after she immediately alerted the police:

"My only reason for alerting anybody is because if my little girl was missing and if someone on the other side of the world was seen who bore any considerable resemblance, I would want it ruled out."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last week, Kate McCann posted an update on the findmadeleine.com website thanking everyone who still held her daughter in their hearts and encouraged the public to continue to be vigilant.

"As Madeleine's parents, we won't be able to rest until we know that all that can be feasibly done to find her, and the person who took her, has been done."

"We are very aware that without public help it will be virtually impossible to find Madeleine."

In my opinion it is heartening to know that in 2013 there was at least one good Samaritan who didn't walk by.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

No, afraid not. They can't 'know' unless they have proof. They can only suspect.

“The girl said her name was Hailey”.

I have family in NZ  the news is it isn't MBM.

"Madeleine's parents Gerry and Kate were reported to be "gutted" and "incensed" that their private investigators were not given access to the information, The Daily Mail reported

"There are instances where information which we think is very credible and worthy of information has not been actioned," Mrs McCann said.

I find it almost laughable that there is Kate N Gerry demanding that every sighting is investigated.  A BIT RICH , do they really think the PJ would fork out billions of pounds on a  GLOBAL search for 'THEIR MISSING LITTLE GIRL' yes, the one who asked why they left her and her siblings alone.

Either they were gutted and demanding or they were not bothered about sightings.  Your post above suggests they were both, but which is it?

It’s confusingly contradictory for sure, so I suppose you’re right.

Unless they have Evidence.

Well I don't suppose they would stick a pin in a map. Although they may as well in my opinion. If they have ecidence they can request help from the local police.

It may well be some think it would be prudent to just go on what 'people' thought they saw.  A full on multi billion pound  global search...  she could be in China... while we are all vexing and wringing hands and  looking for the child.. the parents are 'getting on with their lives'...  yeah I know.

Yes, they have to get on with their lives.

I suspect that Operation Grange already know where Madeleine is, although it would be difficult to extract her from some places while she is still underage.  All in my opinion, of course.
My third time of asking ,what has made you suspect OG already know where Madeleine is and why would it be difficult to extract her from some places while she is underage ?

You are new to posting here and may not know that the protocol is that a question may be asked but there is no requirement for it to be answered.

Repeated demands are considered goading.

Brietta you are correct in this instance as Eleanor was clear that it was only her opinion. Snowgirl if a poster posts something as an opinion a cite nor explanation is required.

Still interesting that Eleanor made this post without wishing to elaborate on it, but that is her prerogative in this instance IMO.

Snowgirl however if someone makes a statement and it appears to be claimed as fact then you can request a cite several times. I have done so but many times I have given up before receiving the required cite from one poster in particular. Sometimes forum rules do fail IMO.
Members are reminded that cites must be provided in accordance with the forum rules. On several occasions recently cites have been requested but never provided. Asking for a cite is not goading but compliance.

From this moment onward, posts making significant claims which are not backed up by a cite will be removed.
