So fear of the consequences in an unfamiliar country might, in your opinion, lead to parents covering up and accidental death? The parents must have disposed of the body then. Any thoughts on what they might have done with it?

No thoughts on what they might have done with a body, but it wouldn't be difficult.
And they might have reported it.  I wouldn't know that.  If they did then this could have triggered a search for a missing child, but The Authorities wouldn't be telling us this.

All of the pointers are On Line if one were looking for them.

So it would be relatively easy to dispose of a child's body in a foreign country in your opinion? Then possibly report the child as missing? Are there many countries where the authorities keep such investigations secret?

I meant Trigger the search for Madeleine.

If this supposed child's death wasn't reported then they wouldn't have reported her missing.

The fact is that there was evidence in the above case showing what happened. It wasn't child traffickers as such, it was a woman with her mother and stepfather who gave a very strange reason for taking the child. It was to use her as a replacement for the woman's own child in a paternity test. She didn't want her child to be associated with her father. It doesn't seem to have occurred to her that tests would show the child wasn't hers, either. Anyway, they got jailed.
https://metro.co.uk/2016/10/21/three-jailed-for-kidnapping-a-toddler-from-the-street-to-use-her-dna-6205578/

It seems she wanted the DNA to show that her 'father'  wasn't her father,   she didn't want her child to have anything to do with her father.    The thing is when someone has a baby the passport shows the photo of the baby,   even when the child was two.  Look at Madeleine's passport it is her as a baby so anyone could use a passport showing a picture of a baby and smuggle Madeleine out of Portugal,  how would they know the baby on the passport wasn't Madeleine?

Perhaps the mods could add into the mix that I wasn't on ignore at the time of the cite requests and still did not get an answer.
Well the only way it can work is that the post with the uncited claim is deleted, but the the trouble is it gets quoted often and those posts would also need amending.  IMO it gets too much work by the time you've allowed time for a response.

The exact birthdate wouldn't be necessary, only the approximate age.  You should be able to see that.

In following my Theory through I did have to make some sense of how this could be accomplished, which I have.   Now that could be Libellous.  And so I do have to have a care.

You, of course are entitled to your opinion.
I can't see who you would be libelling Eleanor.

Getting too close to possible Libel.

I have. A child died so Madeleine was stolen to replace her and is living with the dead child's parents as their child. Somehow (how?) OG have discovered where she is but are helpless to do anything about it (why?). When she reaches her 16th birthday, however, someone (who?) will be able to ask her to take a DNA test to prove who she really is. If she says no, I suppose that will be that.
Would OG have any authority in a country like Israel?

That must have happened in the last 4 yrs,Og officers were digging up the Portuguese countryside back in 2014,looking for a live child,I don't think so,imo.
they could have been looking for the girl that Madeleine replaced in this theory.  If the parents lost a child they might have to lose the deceased child somehow.

Getting too close to possible Libel.

So you have an incomplete theory which can't be assessed.

No. OG has no authority anywhere outside of UK territory. Everything has to be done by negotiation and in accordance with the law of of the country involved

The Replacement Child theorem is low probability but not impossible.

Interesting as it may be, it seems to be off-topic here.
What's up, old man?

For a Theory to be credible for me, Rob, then it has to contain people.  I am not falling into that trap.

If you can't assemble evidence to support a theory, then it is no more than an idea.  IMO
