Only if you don't want Madeleine to be found IMO.
I can't reason with such a ludicrous argument,  in my opinion of course  , that you've put forward in those last few posts   , so I'm withdrawing .

Are you confirming you do want to find her?  Therefore you need to consider all possibilities IMO.

Wanting  that but accepting the opposite is far more likely to be the outcome is something I can't be persuaded to let go of . Sorry I can't even begin to contemplate the very idea  you suggest ,  that  it's possible  a child other than Madeleine died in Block 4 but you can't figure out how transference in and back out of 5a happened .

I didn't say "I can't" but I thought I said "I haven't".    I'd have to check

Actually I wrote:
"I have yet to work out how the body got into 5A.
I have yet to work out how the body got out of 5A."

"Yet to work out" is different to "I can't" agreed?

I propose it as a possibility, I don't know if that is the same as a belief.  Jane sees someone carrying a limp child from that direction.  Who knows where the person came from actually, but Block 4 is logical.  Apartment 5A is illogical as Gerry has just been in there.  All the other kids in block 5 are accounted for.  Can we account for all the kids in block 4?
I'm looking at the the forensic report:
"- INQUIRY -
This is the report of the specialist examination of a dwelling situated at Apartment 5A, of Block A of the tourist accommodation building, "Ocean Club" - Praia da Luz, Lagos, from where there occurred, on 3 May 2007, the disappearance of a minor of English nationality."

It is the use of language like that that makes me wonder if the PJ didn't also know that there was another little girl missing other that Madeleine McCann.  Why say "the disappearance of a minor of English nationality." rather than "the disappearance of Madeleine McCann."

There was a ho ha when Gerry said  a little girl has disappeared. rather than his daughter has disappeared!

I think you will find only a subset of people interested in the case consider all possibilities.

Of people with an interest in the case, I am sure that there are ardent sceptics and ardent supporters that do not consider all possibilities Rob.  Some people in the middle ground will do but what percentage of the total?

It's been physically demonstrated  that couldn't have been possible but maybe you don't look at the things I do because obviously fairytale ideas while they sound reasonable in the minds of those who believe them would be destroyed in seconds .

Let me enlighten you,  no one knows how the intruder got in or out of 5a.

From what I have read on this forum... Every sceptic here has and still considers every possibility... It would be unscientific  not too... Even Richard, Dawkins explains that to a, certain extent he is, an agnostic... Not an atheist

I have a feeling the tide is turning in favour of the Replacement Child theory (RC theory).  I haven't read his most recent book but doesn't Danny Collins advocate this RC theory.
I'm not sure if Goncalo Amaral ever thought it was a possibility, in fact I think he may have had some idea of something going on that was larger than just a dysfunctional family, when he talks of the secret services being involved.
Richard D Hall in one of his videos brought up an email with information that suggested the Interpol officers had been and gone before the GNR turned up.
The McCanns have at times suggested such an outcome as the RC theory.
Even I can't really believe it myself, but it was the only solution that seems to not run up against a brick wall.
I've looked for the reason it fails and I haven't found it yet.

I would have to really think about it too - do I really consider all possibilities?

There are theories that might be as simple as falling into an open manhole or trench and being washed out to sea or just covered over, to more complex ones of paedophile gangs abducting her and possibly killing her.  The Earth is a large place and it wouldn't be impossible but I must admit GA's intuition that the Tapas 9 were hiding something rules these out, as the Tapas 9 would have no reason to be non-corroborative if either were the reason MM was missing.  Like him I think there is a story closer to home that explains it.

I think you are totally mistaken.... I would say every sceptic who posts regularly  has considered every option...
I say abduction is the most likely option.. Not the only option

It shows how little you understand other posters opinion... Imo

Where does the replacement child theory fail?  If you can't think of the reason it fails, do you keep it as an open option?  RC theory is really a form of abduction theory so it isn't anti-abduction, does that help you?

OK most say well "no other child died"?  Well if there was a known child dying the replacement child theory wouldn't get off the ground would it, unless that was covered up too.  It is getting complicated now.
A childless couple is more likely to steal a baby (usually, as there have been plenty other cases that are precedents for that).  Has a childless couple ever stolen a nearly 4 year old to start a family?  There could always be the first!  I don't know how you beat that for an argument - the one off case.
To me the RC theory is based on one child replacing another, not the making a family for a childless couple.
