What journalists say or write isn't always the truth, it's sometimes opinion.

Are you seriously trying to argue that the Portuguese police were not responsible for leaks in this case?  Why do you feel the need to defend their honour absolutely at every opportunity?

Firstly I don't, and secondly, I don't like to see individuals being unjustly accused or vilified by others and will speak up to say so when I perceive that to be happening.  Organisations, especially of public servants like the police, are a different matter and it is right that questions are asked about their performance and failings by those they are there to serve - the public.

There was clearly information around which came from within the investigation. Who gave out that information isn't known. It could be members of the PJ or people working with them. There were civilian interpreters, translators and relatives. There were people working for the Prosecutors and the Judges. There were forensic people in Portugal and the UK, and UK policemen in both countries. In my opinion laying the blame for every leak on the PJ is a sign of a mind which is not just closed, but biased also.

Your unquestioning acceptance of what she said speaks volumes to me. When did she discover she had been misinformed? Did she immediately speak out?
