Alice died a year ago now.  I just wanted to say that I still miss him and that he deserves a mention.

Two opposing minds managed to get on with pleasure in a friendship.  Alice was kind to me.  I don't get a lot of that on here.

Many's the ding dong argument I had with him with never any rancour.  I do think about him and other absent friends whenever I see some old posts.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

I missed him for a long time but I'm over it now.

I miss his online presence too. We had some humorous exchanges, especially on the now-defunct Amazon forum.

We remember him in different ways... I found him rude and insulting

Alice PMd me to say that he was sorry to see me being insulted.  He didn't have to do that.  After that we never talked about the Forum or Madeleine, just about our lives.  He was enormously funny and self deprecating.

He was very ill for a long time but constantly grateful for having survived for longer than he thought he would.

Kindness can come from the most unusual places.

So why tell me that - Tell someone who cares what you think D

You are not the only person on this forum, kizzy.

I am glad that Davel and VS shared their experiences, because mine were the same, sadly.

I would have liked to have to have liked him, but found his humour irksome tbh.

Despite this, I am sad to hear that he suffered and pleased that others of you liked him and gave him support thru his illness
