Alice died a year ago now.  I just wanted to say that I still miss him and that he deserves a mention.

That was nice of you to remember Alice. We have a few members who have since passed on, one being our cherished moderator Anna. We will have to create a special area on the forum where they can be remembered properly.

Both Anna and Alice are designated as Honorary Members.

I didn’t realise Anna had passed away, she really did seem a lovely person.

What a lovely idea.

Thank you for starting this thread Eleanor, I didn’t realise Alice, or Anna had died. Life was never boring with Alice around, that’s for sure and his presence, and humour is greatly missed. Could I also pay tribute to Blacksmith who died last year around this time and who, although not a member here as far as I know, for good or ill ( depending on your stance on the case ) added greatly to the sum of our knowledge on the McCann affair, as he called it.

Blacksmith posted libellous opinion pieces which added nothing to my knowledge of the McCann case.

I liked Alice & miss him too.
We used to share the odd PM here & there.
Always had good banter with him.
He was an intelligent & witty guy imo.
The General reminds me a little of Alice.

I didn’t realise Anna had passed away, she really did seem a lovely person.

She was a lovely person who suffered greatly in the end. Anna was Scottish but had lived in London for many years with her hubby. She longed to return to Scotland one more time but as she was bedbound I fear she never got her wish.

No consolation but I hope she got her wish in death.

I’d must like to make it clear that “libellous” was not my choice of adjective.

Perhaps if you can’t be respectful silence would be wise.
